"You need anything? Food? Water?" Johnny asked.

"I could eat."

He paused his game and walked me into the kitchen, turning a light on. He listed the things he had and when I decided what I wanted he cooked up enough for both of us in the microwave on a single plate.

But while we had our backs to the living room, both our eyes gazed at the glowing box rotating and heating our food, there was a noise from behind us.

My head shot around, only to see his controller being thrown onto the floor with no one, and nothing there. Johnny seemed unbothered, his eyes never leaving our food.

"Uh ... Johnny?" I said nervously, my heart racing.

"Yeah?" He finally turned around.

"Did you ... did you hear that?"

I was so on edge it felt like my senses went bionic, if a pin dropped, I would have heard it, if a speck of dust flew in front of me, I would have seen it.

Despite watching Vince's sentencing and watching police escort him away in cuffs to be in prison for life, he was what I thought of first. Did he follow me here? Was he going to hurt Winwin and Johnny?

"Hey." He put a hand on my back, and I jumped. "Calm down." He chuckled, noticing my demeanor. "It's just Shao Cai Gui"      (A friendly, boring ghost)

"What?"

"My uh ... my house is kinda haunted." He said shyly.

"What?" I turned to him, shocked.

He scratched the back of his neck.

"Sorry I mean ... it's not really something I advertise when people are coming over."

"Couldn't we have gone to Winwin's?"

He laughed loudly.

"It's okay. Calm down. It's a friendly ghost."

The microwave beeped and it made me jump again and gasp, clutching my heart

The microwave beeped and it made me jump again and gasp, clutching my heart.

He laughed again and grabbed our food, setting it on the island. Immediately after another noise came from the living room, my head shot up to see what it was but again, nothing. When another laugh came from Johnny, I started to grow suspicious.

"Is Winwin hiding out there?"

"Zeda you are so paranoid." He handed me a fork.

"What if it's Vince?"

He got serious for a second and put a hand on my shoulder.

"Hey, don't worry, okay? I know you went through a lot, and I don't mean to make fun of it. But you're safe here. I've got security cameras, you've got Winwin and I here, and I still have that gun if that makes you feel better."
