After being casted to the sea, thrown off the cruise ship she was on by her own boyfriend, what Zeda thought was her biggest problem turns out to be only the beginning. She's rescued by a foreign man, Lucas, & his two friends Johnny & Winwin. Togeth...
It was an hour and a half before we had to leave and I was already dressed, heels on and ready to go. I sat at the island having a snack Johnny gave me while the boys were playing a game.

They were half ready to go. They had their dress pants and shoes on, but still had regular T shirts on and their hair a mess.
Johnny clearly died in the game and looked over to me. "You're gonna be my date tonight, right?"

"What do you mean? What are your terms?" I asked with a smile, popping a grape into my mouth.
"I want a dance. And to buy your drinks ...... Maybe a kiss-"
I stopped him. "Two outta three. Don't push it." I joked back.
We all took a shot before we left and climbed into a taxi.
I was excited, but my heart was racing, and I was shaking. I was just so afraid of all the bad things that could happen. I had a terrible feeling in my gut.
Johnny noticed me staring out the window with worry and put his hand on my shoulder.
"Hey, it's okay. It's gonna go great. He's gonna be so excited."
"And surprised." Winwin added.
"And you look amazing." Johnny nudged my arm.
"Stop here." Winwin told the driver, and he promptly did, and Winwin got out of the car.
He held the door open as a woman entered, and then he proceeded to climb into the passenger seat.
It was Hua.
Winwin introduced us.
She looked even prettier in person than in their pictures. She was dressed in a tight and sparkling pink dress and she had warm brown hair that framed her face perfectly.
We talked the rest of the drive there and seemed to hit it off, and she also reassured me everything would be fine.
"This will be my first time meeting Lucas, too." She told me. "I hear he is very handsome." She pretended to whisper, clearly letting Winwin hear as a joke.
We all laughed and Winwin shot her a playful 'really?' look.
"I'm sure he's not as handsome as you, baby." She reassured him and this left him to shake his head with a little chuckle.
Even from just that short time, I knew Hua had my back and was on my side.
But all the reassurance was overpowered by my anxiety as we pulled up to a large building and the car stopped.
We thanked the driver, and all climbed out, brushing off our clothes.
I took a deep breath and stood staring at the doors while everyone else walked towards them.
Johnny was the first to notice, and laughed, walking back over to me as the cab drove away.
"C'mon, girl. Aren't you excited?" He put an arm around me and gently coaxed me to walk with him.
"Yes but ... he didn't invite me, Johnny. I'm scared he ... doesn't want me to be here."
He pulled me close. "It'll be okay. I promise."
"How can you promise that?"
He let go of me to open the door and I again hesitated.
"I'm sorry I'm being a pain in the ass Johnny, I'm just scared."
I walked through the door, and he quickly opened the next set of them for me, too.
"I'm not mad. You'll chill out once you see him."
He wrapped his arm back around me as we caught up with Winwin and Hua walking hand in hand, and we started down a very long hallway leading to a great ballroom with giant chandeliers and soft music playing.
I felt sick to my stomach. Something wasn't right. I'm not supposed to be here, and I don't know why. I had no choice but to continue on, Johnny's arm remaining around my shoulders.
When we finally reached the end, we saw two huge tables positioned in one straight line filled with people eating a meal, mostly older looking people, like our parents ages. There were small clusters of people standing around talking, too.
The room had many balloons and flowers arranged in different places around the room and there were many signs hanging but only one was in English, and it read, "Congratulations!'
We were all standing in the entry, somewhat hidden by some tall plants and were looking around for Lucas.
My eyes were scanning the tremendously long table, and towards the middle, I found him.
Lucas was sat at the table, surrounded by people, and sitting beside him with a huge grin, was Biyu.
