After the divination exam, Aurora began walking back to the Gryffindor Common Room when she saw Hermione running towards her. Aurora was going to begin walking the other way, but stopped when she noticed tears running down the muggleborn's face.

"What's wrong?" Aurora asked, wanting to hide from her but also wanting to know if she was okay.

Hermione sniffled. "Buckbeak's execution is tonight at sundown. I just thought you should know," the girl said before walking off.

Aurora was angry. How could Draco let Lucius make this happen?! It wasn't Buckbeak's fault that Draco got scratched, and the Malfoy boy knew it.

She stormed through the halls of Hogwarts, looking for the blonde ferret. Aurora found him near the Potions classroom.

"You!" the girl exclaimed, marching over to him. "You foul, loathsome, evil little ferret!" she yelled, not caring if Professor Snape took points away from her for saying those things to the Malfoy.

Draco cowered away in fear, not knowing what his cousin was going to do to him. Aurora began taking out her wand, about to hex him, but then decided not to. She put her wand away and Draco looked less scared, but then Aurora punched him right in the nose.

"Ow!" Draco screamed, grabbing his nose while wincing in pain. Crabbe and Goyle checked to see if he was okay, while Aurora walked away before anyone could say anything to her.

Later that day, Aurora decided to go to Hagrid's hut to see if he was okay. She was also hoping to run into the Minister, who would be attending the execution, so that she could share her opinion on what he was planning to do to the hippogriff.

When she got there, she noticed that Harry, Hermione, and Ron were outside of Hagrid's hut, waiting to be let in.

The three gave her a questioning look, wondering why she was here.

"I'm here to see how Hagrid's doing," Aurora explained.

"Rory, I don't know why you've been avoiding us, but if it was anything we did-" Harry began to day, but then was cut off by Hagrid opening the door.

"Wut?" Hagrid boomed, looking in rough shape.

"Hagrid," Aurora said, knowing that the man must be having a hard time with what was going to happen to Buckbeak, "can we come in?"

Hagrid opened the door more to let them in.

"Hagrid, they just can't kill Buckbeak!" Hermione exclaimed once they were in his hut. "I won't let it happen!"

Aurora and Harry nodded in agreement as Ron awkwardly looked around the room.

"Um... Do you want me to fix up some tea?" he asked. Aurora, Harry, and Hermione stared at the red head. "It's what mum always does when someone's upset," Ron mumbled, his face turning red.

Ron went over to fix some tea. When he was done, Hagrid began pouring some milk into his cup, but dropped it because his hands were shaking so much.

"I'll get you another bottle," Aurora told the man, walking over to the kitchen. When she returned, she opened it and let out a squeal, surprised about what was inside. "Ron- Ron I don't believe it! It's Scabbers!" She shoved the bottle into the boys hand so that he could see that his pet was inside.

"It looks like you owe someone an apology," Hermione said, crossing her arms.

"Right, next time I see Crookshanks, I'll let him know," Ron told the girl.

"Great man, Dumbledore," Hagrid told them, changing the subject. "He said he would come down to be with me when they- you know..." he trailed off, looking like he was about to burst into tears.

"We'll stay here with you too, Hagrid," Hermione offered, hoping to comfort the half-giant.

"No you will not!" he roared, "I can't risk getting in trouble when people find you all here after dark!"

The Gryffinfour stayed and comforted him for a few more minutes, and suddenly a rock flew through the window and broke a vase on Hagrid's table.

"What was-"

"Ouch!" Harry exclaimed. Another rock was thrown through the window and hit the back of Harry's head. The people inside the hut looked out the window to see what it was, when Hagrid noticed that the executioner and the minister, along with Professor Dumbledore were outside of his window.

"Quick! Get out! They're coming and they can't see you all here. Go out the back door," Hagrid instructed.

The four students hid behind rocks as they saw Buckbeak for what could be the last time.

I don't own Harry Potter. The series belongs to J.K. Rowling. I only own Aurora and anything you don't recognize from the books or movies.
