A few days later, Aurora and Harry had their first detention with Professor Umbridge. The two walked to her office, Aurora somewhat nervous of what the woman would have them do, while Harry didn't care.
After Aurora knocked on the door, the two walked inside after hearing a faint 'come in'.
"Good evening, students," Professor Umbridge said in a fake-cheery voice.
"Good evening, Professor Umbridge," Aurora responded quietly, while Harry didn't say anything.
"Now, now. That won't do it will it, Mr. Potter? I will not allow this negative behavior in my office," Professor Umbridge tutted, "Please walk outside and try to come in again, this time with a better attitude."
Harry stormed out of the room, clearly angry. A few seconds later, Aurora heard a knock.
"Come in, please."
Harry walked into Professor Umbridge's office.
"Good evening, Mr. Potter."
"Good evening, Professor Umbridge."
"Now, children, please sit. We are going to be doing lines this evening," Professor Umbridge informed them. The two students sat down and began to take out their quils and ink.
"Stop. I have a special quill for each of you," the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher told them. She handed them each a red quill.
"Where's the ink?" Harry asked, not understanding that it was a blood quill.
"Oh, you won't be needing any. Now, Harry, you will be writing 'I must not tell lies'. You, Aurora, will be writing 'My parents are monsters."
Aurora went pale at what the woman said, while Harry's face went red with anger.
"Don't call her parents monsters!" Harry roared, beginning to stand up.
"Sit down, Mr. Potter," Professor Umbridge snapped, "One parent is a werewolf, and the other is a criminal. You, Aurora, are created from two monsters and you are the most monstrous thing to exist."
Aurora was trying not to cry. She motioned for Harry to not talk and he, with great hesitation, began writing his lines.
A couple hours later, the two fifth years were exhausted. The blood quills created marks on both their hands with what they wrote, causing immense pain. Aurora didn't care how much pain her hands were in, nothing could make up for the pain in her heart at the teachers cruel words.
"Mr. Potter, you may leave," Professor Umbridge began, "However, do come back tomorrow. You, stay. I'm not finished with you," she said to Aurora.
Harry began to protest, but after looking at Aurora (plus a silent conversation between the two), he regretfully left.
"You are a monster, Aurora Lupin- Black," Professor Umbridge said after she was sure Harry left. She began to stand up and take her wand out.
"You are the spawn of a criminal and a werewolf. Like your parents, you deserve to be hurt."
Professor Umbridge pointed her wand at Aurora.
"Crucio!"
The girl screamed in pain.
I don't own Harry Potter. The series belongs to J.K. Rowling. I only own Aurora and anything you don't recognize from the books or movies.
