"She did what?"

Remus seethed with anger after Sirius told him what Aurora said Professor Umbridge did. As much as he wanted to yell and curse to show how upset he was, he knew he had to be there for Aurora. Sirius had the girl wrapped up in a blanked next to him, as he had his arm slung over her shoulder for comfort.

In all honesty, Aurora expected Remus to yell and shout. The man was rather calm generally, however whenever someone touched his family, he turned into a completely different person.

She was proven wrong, however, when instead of causing a ruckus, he pulled her into a warm hug.

"I'm sorry she did this to you, my little moon star," he whispered, holding her close.

Aurora felt like a young girl again, and she remembered the times when she was bright-eyed and curious, hugging him tearily during a storm- which used to scare her to no end.

Unfortunately, now there are more things to worry about than just a little rain.

"Here we go, daddy's back, everyone!" Molly Weasley cheered happily as everyone around the table smiled, all radiating happiness.

Everyone felt as if they could finally breathe now with the return of Mr. Weasley, and the Christmas festivities began, starting with Mrs. Weasley passing out her iconic Weasley sweaters- a Christmas staple.

After everyone had put the colorful and comfy sweaters over their former outfit, it was time for the Christmas feast.

Aurora would choose Mrs. Weasley's cooking over anyone else's any day (especially her parents, they were both awful cooks), and she never regretted that decision- especially at Christmas.

Foods of all kinds covered the tables, from roast beef to vegetable medley, there were options for all types of taste buds. Everyone hungrily devoured the delicious meal, and the main course was gone within minutes.

After a few moments of everyone's food settling in their stomachs, Mrs. Weasley brought out some pudding and treacle tart, which was both Aurora and Harry's favorite.

Naturally, the two reached for the serving spoons for that option first, and they both smiled in embarrassment as their cheeks shined in bright red since they had accidentally touched each other's hands.

Why do I feel so weird after this? Aurora wondered, Harry's my friend, we hold hands all the time, there's nothing strange about this.

The girl wondered where her feelings for the boy were coming from.

I don't own Harry Potter. The series belongs to J.K. Rowling. I only own Aurora and anything you don't recognize from the books or movies.
