The following days after the evens of Halloween, rumors were spread around the castle. People were coming up with crazy theories about how Sirius Black could have gotten into the castle, the majority of them involving Aurora.
One night, the Gryffindor Quidditch team was practicing for the upcoming game that was that weekend when Oliver Wood had terrible news for them.
"We're not playing Slytherin," he told them gravely.
"What?!" Aurora exclaimed, outraged. She took quidditch as serious as Oliver does, perhaps a bit more. He wanted to make her captain after he'd left Hogwarts. "But we've been practicing to beat their tactics!"
"I know," Oliver replied, nodding. "But their seeker, Draco Malfoy, can't play because his arm is still injured."
"That git!" Harry yelled. "He's only faking it so that they don't have to play!"
"Anyway," their captain continued. "We're now going against Hufflepuff. They have a new captain this year, Cedric Diggory. Their tactics are much different than the Slytherins." The group practiced until late at night and all walked back to their rooms, exhausted.
For the rest of the week, Oliver was pestering Harry and Aurora with tips for their specific parts on the team. The two were on their way to Defense Against the Dark Arts, rushing because Oliver had just spent the past 15 minutes talking about ways to beat the opposing team at the game this Saturday.
Harry opened the door and they rushed in. "Sorry we're late Professor Lupin we-" he cut off when he realized that the usual professor wasn't there.
"You're both ten minutes later, Potter, Lupin-Black, so I think that'll be 10 points from Gryffindor," the drawling voice of Snape told them.
While Aurora went to her seat right away, knowing that her papa was out due to it being the day after the full moon, Harry stayed there. "Where's Professor Lupin?" he asked.
"I believe I told you to sit down, Potter," the potions professor told him. 'Just do it!' Aurora mouthed to him urgently when he didn't move. "Five points from Gryffindor," Snape said impatiently. "And if you don't sit down now, it'll be fifty." Harry gave up, sitting down in his usual seat next to Ron. "I want you all to turn to page 394 of your books," Snape snapped.
"But sir, we aren't supposed to be in that area of the book until the end of the year-"
"Silence!" Professor Snape yelled, cutting Hermione off. "Turn to page 394 and read it. I want no talking." The class opened their books and started reading. When Aurora opened the page, so saw that is was about werewolves. She glared up at Snape, knowing that he was trying to make people realize what her papa was. "Can anyone tell me the difference between a werewolf and the true wolf?" he asked, smirking at Aurora.
Hermione tentatively spoke up, "Please sir, the difference between-"
"Tell me, Granger, do you take pride in being an insufferable know it all?"
The Gryffindors gasped, and Ron in particular looked very angry, even though he called Hermione a know it all at least twice a week. "She's trying to answer the question! Why ask if you don't want to be told?!"
"I will be spoken that way! Detention, Weasley! I want you each to do a 2 foot essay on werewolves to be turned in tomorrow." Aurora glared fiercely at Professor Snape. Her papa was happy with his job, but the potions professor had to just come along and ruin it. If anyone found out that her papa was a werewolf, the whole school along with everyone's parents or guardians would know and make Remus leave.
"You sick man!" Aurora exclaimed at Snape, angry at what he was trying to do. The young girl began packing her things, attracting the attention of the other students.
