Brave

Resigning

Aurora could do nothing but watch as Hermione and Harry went back in time with her time turner. She decided to stay back with Ron as the other two went to hopefully save Sirius. Not even a few seconds later, Hermione and Harry walked back into the Hospital wing as Ron looked at them in confusion.

"Wait- you were right there," Ron pointed to the spot where Harry and Hermione previously were, "and now you're there?!"

"That isn't possible right Hermione?" Harry said, smirking and out of breath.

"Right Harry. We can't be in two places at once, Ron," Hermione told him.

Harry and Hermione ended up explaining everything that happened on their mission to save Sirius. A few days later, Aurora and Harry heard from Hagrid that Remus was resigning. The two stormed to his office, wanting to convince him to stay.

"I saw you two coming," Aurora's papa said, motioning to the Marauders map on his desk. The rest of his office was empty other than the filled boxes and bags on the floor, probably containing the items that were previously filling the room.

"We heard about you telling Professor Dumbledore you were going to resign," Aurora said worried.

"Yes, I am. I've decided that with the situation with Professor Snape telling everyone about my... furry problem... it would be best to leave," Professor Lupin explained.

"But Professor, you can't leave!" Harry exclaimed, "You're the best Defense Against the Dark Arts professor we've had!"

"Thank you for that, Harry, but it's only a matter of time before students' parents come sending letters to the Headmaster saying that I shouldn't be here."

The office door suddenly opened and Professor Dumbledore came in the room. 

"Headmaster, is there anything you need?" Remus asked in confusion, wondering why the man was here and why people kept storming into his office.

"Yes, Remus, I've come to inform you that your carriage has arrived to take you away from Hogwarts. Would you like me to walk you there?" Professor Dumbledore asked politely. 

"No thank you, sir. I'll be fine on my own." Professor Dumbledore nodded in understanding and left the room.

Aurora's papa turned to her and Harry. "I guess this is goodbye. Harry, maybe I'll see you sometime." 

Remus hugged Aurora whispering something in her ear, which Harry couldn't hear.

After they left each other's embrace, the older man grabbed his things and left his office.
