Quidditch Captain

The next day, Hagrid returned, causing the Gryffinfour to meet with him for lunch. It was nice for Aurora to have a day free of the stress from Quidditch and her coursework, however the relaxing feeling dwindled when she realized that she was now Quidditch captain.

Due to Dolores Umbridge being a terrible woman, she banned Angelina, Alicia, Harry, the Weasley twins, and Ron from playing Quidditch for the rest of their lives, therefore placing the role of Quidditch captain onto Aurora.

That Sunday evening, Aurora was holding tryouts for all positions, considering she wanted to start practicing with the new team as soon as possible. There were a large group of students there, and honestly, Aurora didn't recognize many of them.

"Okay, listen up!" Aurora shouted. Surprisingly, everyone shut their mouths immediately, and all attention was on her.

"First, I am going to hold tryouts for the keepers, then seekers, beaters, and chasers. I want everyone who wants to be a keeper stay down here, and everyone else go sit out of the way. Also, before we begin tryouts, please leave if you are a first year or are from another house."

About 20 students regretfully left the Quidditch field, which the others went to sit down. Another 15 students remained on the pitch, warming up.

After about 5 minutes of warming up, Aurora chose the first person to try out, and launched on her broom. She threw various quaffles at the student, taking note of how many were let through.

The routine of testing each student's Quidditch abilities went on for hours. The tryouts for the seekers were the only somewhat simple ones for Aurora. She had the students go in groups of four, seeing who could catch the snitch first and how much time it would take. 

"Great work, everyone," Aurora said, looking at all of the heavy breathed, tired students in front of her, "I'll let you know if you've made the team as soon as I can, and I want you all to know that I don't want to hear any complaining when the list comes out. If you haven't made the team this year, you can always try out again next year. I will provoke you of that privilege, however, if there is any complaining towards me or if I hear you telling any of the new members that they shouldn't have made the team. You're all free to go back to the common room now."

The girl and the other students made their way back to their rooms.
