Aurora decided to meet Harry by the entryway to the Great Hall. She nervously walked down the stairs, afraid that he might not show up or decided to ditch her for someone else. Harry, who was previously talking to Ron, immediately turned to her when she came into the room and his jaw dropped.

"Aurora, you look... wow," Harry stuttered, not knowing how to react.

"Hi," Aurora breathed.

"Erm... should we go inside?" Harry asked. After Aurora nodded in reply, he gently grabbed her hand and led her into the Great Hall.

Before they could sit down at a table, Professor McGonagall called them to dance with the other champions.

Dancing with Harry had to have been the most awkward thing Aurora had ever done. Harry kept stepping on her feet, which was quite painful, and he seemed to have no coordination at all. Finally, other students and teachers began dancing and her and Harry sat down at a table with the other champions.

A couple hours later, Ron was sitting with them, pouting like a toddler. Hermione came over to them, seeming to be excited about something.

"Hot isn't it?" she said giddily, "Viktor's going to get us drinks."

Hermione stopped smiling when she looked at Ron's annoyed face. "What's your deal?"

"He's using you," Ron said, standing up and beginning to walk out of the Great Hall. Hermione followed him, along with Aurora and Harry, who didn't want to miss the drama.

"I can look out for myself," Hermione responded, catching up to him.

"I doubt it, he's way to old."

"What?!" Hermione asked, "What?! That's what you think?!"

"Yeah, that's right," Ron replied, scoffing at her.

"You know the solution then don't you. Next time there's a ball, pluck up the courage to ask me before somebody else does, and not as a last resort!" Hermione yelled, tears forming in her eyes.

"Well, I mean... that's just completely off the point," Ron stuttered, beginning to walk away from her.

Hermione turned around when she heard Harry and Aurora's footsteps. "Where have you been?" she asked the Potter boy. Before he could answer, she snapped at him, "Never mind, off to bed, both of you."

The two boys walked off and Hermione collapsing on the stairs, sobbing while taking her uncomfortable heels off.

Aurora sat next to her, pulling her into a hug and whispering comforting words in the older girls ear.

About an hour later, Hermione and Aurora got back to the Gryffindor common room. Hermione immediately went up to their dorm, leaving Aurora and Harry- who was sitting by the fire- alone.

"Well, that took a turn, didn't it?" Aurora asked, taking a seat next to the boy.

"Yep," Harry responded, lightly chuckling.

"Erm... I had a great time tonight. You know, before our friends got into a fight," Aurora said, turning to look at him.

"Me too," Harry told her sincerely. He stood up and glanced at her, "I should be getting to bed."

After Aurora said she should go to bed too, Harry looked at her. Without thinking, the Potter boy placed a hand on her cheek and lightly kissed her.

"Goodnight," Harry said, walking towards his dorm.

The girl blushed as she went to her dormitory.

I don't own Harry Potter. The series belongs to J.K. Rowling. I only own Aurora and anything you don't recognize from the books or movies.
