Ron decided to stop talking to Hermione, and Harry didn't speak to her much either. This left Aurora in the middle, spending some days with Hermione, and others with Harry and Ron. However, she spent most days with Pierre, getting closer to him. The amount of school work was increasing because their exams were in a few months. Aurora was getting stressed out between her friends arguing and all of the school work.

A few days after school started again, Professor Lupin decided to start teaching Harry how to make a Patronus. The two of them were in an empty classroom with Aurora, who decided to watch.

"Tonight I'm going to teach you how to form a Patronus. This spell is what will get rid of the dementors. Do you have any questions? Remus asked, looking at Harry. Aurora was sitting on one of the tables, eating her papa's chocolate.

"How do you form a Patronus?" Harry asked the professor.

"The incantation is Expecto Patronum. The easiest way to form a Patronus is to think about one of your happiest memories. A Patronus is what will make the dementor go away."

"Will we be using a real Dementor?" Harry asked again. He was afraid that if they would, he might not be able to protect Aurora from them. The last time they were there, they were about to get to her and he didn't want her to be in any danger.

"No. Since you said that your boggart would be a dementor, I decided to use that. It will be easier than a real dementor. When you cast the spell, I want you to think of a happy memory. If the memory is powerful enough, the spell should work. Do you think you're ready?"

Harry nodded and walked closer to the chest that held the boggart. He held his want out, determined to cast the spell. Professor Lupin opened the chest and quickly went next to Aurora, getting out of the way of the boggart.

Aurora wasn't sure what happy memory Harry was thinking of, but it clearly wasn't strong enough because after attempting to cast the spell a few times, Harry fainted.

Aurora got off of the table and rushed over to Harry. She shook him awake while whispering comforting words in his ear, knowing that he probably heard his mother screaming again. When he woke up, she handed him some chocolate, knowing that it would help him.

"Are you okay, Harry?" Professor Lupin asked as Aurora helped the boy up.

"It happened again," Harry said, running a hand through his hair. "I heard my mother screaming. Except this time I heard my father too."

Aurora's papa paled. "James?" he asked.

"You knew my father?" Harry asked the professor. Remus nodded.

"Your father and I were friends during our time at school," the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor replied. Seeing the sad look on his face, Harry and Aurora decided to not ask more questions about the topic.

"Are you ready to try again?" Professor Lupin asked Harry, changing the subject. Harry nodded, wanting to try to cast a Patronus again. "This time think of something different. I don't think the memory you chose last time was strong enough."

The boggart was let out again and Harry began thinking of a memory.

"Expecto Patronus... no... patronum, sorry. Ex- Expecto Patro-"

Harry suddenly collapsed to the ground, fainted.

Aurora tried shaking him awake, but when that didn't work, she ignored her papa's protests when she stated her idea and slapped the boy.

What a lovely way to wake up.

"You fainted again," Aurora told Harry, and his cheeks turned red in embarrassment realizing that he, once again, fainted in front of his cru- friend.

Aurora helped him up and handed him another bar of chocolate.

"I want to try again," Harry told Professor Lupin, determined to get the spell right.

"I think that's enough for tonight," the professor replied, seeing that Harry looked tired.

"But I think I can get it this time!" Harry protested.

"I think you've tried enough for today. We'll meet again next week," Aurora's papa replied, leaving no room for arguing. He hugged Aurora and kissed her on the head before she and Harry walked out of the classroom.

Remus heard Aurora comforting Harry outside, telling him that he would be able to get the spell soon, and that it was okay that he didn't get it the first few times, considering it was a very difficult spell.

Based of of their interaction, along with the way they look at each other like they're the only people in the world, Professor Lupin knew that Aurora was the doe to Harry's stag.

I don't own Harry Potter. The series belongs to J.K. Rowling. I only own Aurora and anything that isn't from the books or movies.
