Screams

The Gryffinfour quickly left Hagrid's hut, not wanting to have to watch Buckbeak be killed. Aurora led the way, not looking back at the bird.

When the group was about to finish the path back to Hogwarts, Aurora heard an 'ouch!' causing her to turn around.

Ron, along with Hermione and Harry had stopped walking. Scabbers had bit Ron on the finger.

"Ouch!" he squealed again. "Scabbers! Get back in my hand!"

"Ron!" Hermione moaned, wanting to continue walking so that she didn't have to see the execution.

"I know, I know. Scabbers won't sit still!" Ron exclaimed. Before Ron had a chance to calm his pet down, they heard a chopping noise and cries from Hagrid's hut. A big group of birds flew into the sky

Aurora tried to hold it in, but broke down to sobs. Harry immediately pulled her into a hug, -which Ron also did to Hermione- hoping to bring her some comfort.

The moment was ruined however, when Ron let out another noise and began chasing Scabbers. The remainder of the Golden Quartet called and chased after him.

When Harry was within reaching range of Ron, a big black dog came out and grabbed Ron by the ankle.

"Ron!" Harry screamed, scared for his friend. He noticed that the black dog looked exactly like the grim.

Aurora, Hermione, and Harry ran after Ron, Aurora wincing every time she heard someone she thought of as a brother scream in pain and fear.

The remainder of the group reached the Whomping Willow and didn't see Ron anywhere in sight.

"I think Ron was pulled down the Whomping Willow," Aurora breathed out. Instead of thinking about what they should do to get inside the tree, the group just ran at it. All of them were thrown back by one of the branches on the tree.

Aurora must have hit something, because she felt a sharp pain in her head. She got up anyway, and walked to where Hermione and Harry were.

"Rory, your head is bleeding," Harry told her. Aurora lifted her hand up to her head, and saw that there was blood on her hand (Aurora was guessing. She couldn't really see anything in the dark).

"Oh... I guess you're right," she shrugged. "How are we going to get in?" the girl asked, changing the subject.

"I have an idea," Hermione announced, not elaborating. Before anyone could respond, she jumped on the closest tree branch.

"Come on! Jump!" Hermione instructed. Aurora jumped, and Harry reluctantly did too. The three of them were thrown around, until they all let go and fell through the hole at the base of the tree.

After Aurora, Hermione, and Harry got up in pain from another tumble and gathered their surroundings, they began walking. Harry led the way, with Aurora behind him and Hermione in the back. It was an unspoken agreement between Harry and Hermione to look after Aurora. They already lost her once, and they didn't want to loose her again.

"Any idea as to where this leads?" Hermione asked, stuttering.

"I have an idea. I just hope I'm wrong," Harry said, not saying anything else.

The trio walked quickly, all thinking that if the grim was going to do anything to Ron, it could have already happened. A few minutes later, they burst into a room. From what Harry suspected, it looked like they were in the Shrieking Shack.

"Ghosts didn't do that," Harry mumbled under her breath after noticing the broken furniture and torn up fabric. Aurora already knew that the damage to the building was from it being old and her fathers monthly transitions, but she didn't tell them that, not wanting anyone to know that her father was a werewolf.

Another scream led Aurora, Hermione, and Harry to a room where Ron laid, with a very damaged ankle and a trembling Scabbers in his hand.

"Ron!" they exclaimed, rushing over to him.

"It's a trap!" Ron screamed out in warning. "It wasn't the grim! It was Sirius Black!"

Aurora, along with Harry and Hermione turned to look where Ron was pointing, and they saw Sirius Black.

A door slammed and a scream was heard.

I don't own Harry Potter. The series belongs to J.K. Rowling. I only own Aurora and anything you don't recognize from the books or movies.
