A few weeks later, the fifth years were preparing to take their OWL's. Aurora's friends all stopped talking to her after their spat about the Quidditch Cup, although, in her opinion, she was better off without them. They would eventually get in her way of killing her father. To be honest, though, Aurora looked terrible. She'd spent her nights trying to get visions (which were harder because, unknown to her, she was under the imperius curse), and with that and studying for this year's exams, there were dark bags under her eyes from lack of sleep.

Everywhere around Aurora, there was a state of panic. Students left and right were freaking out to themselves and their friends about the fact that in a few moments, they were going to have their written transfiguration exam. Aurora was not worried at all; she knew the material and knew that she was smart enough to get a passable grade.

As the exam proctor opened the room to let them in - Professor McGonagall was not allowed to proctor the exam as she was their teacher (for the best, Aurora thought, as the older woman would prompt the young girl into telling her what was wrong) - a Ravenclaw student fainted to the ground in worry.

The students continued to walk in as the girl was sent to the hospital wing. It seemed that the students were much to worried about their exam to be concerned. Or maybe some were in Aurora's case and just didn't care.

"Sorry about that," the exam proctor said, clearing his throat awkwardly. The man was an average height with a balding head and lanky legs. Aurora was rather glad that he wasn't an actual Hogwart's teacher, because she would hate having to see his face every day.

The man pulled out a piece of parchment and began reading off of it, "Today you are going to be taking the Transfiguration Ordinary Wizarding Level. This exam will contain written answers in paragraph form, and it will test your knowledge on the subject. Please open the first page of your packet you were given previously, and I will begin reading the testing rules...."

Aurora didn't care about what the testing rules were, she just wanted to take the test. The proctor was going through the rules slowly as if it was the first time, they were all hearing them.

'Yes, I know not to use a self-writing quill...' Aurora thought to herself.

"You will have 180 minutes to take this assessment, and you may now begin," the man said.

The girl began her exam.

I don't own Harry Potter. The series belongs to J.K. Rowling. I only own Aurora and anything you don't recognize from the books or movies.
