A few days later, everyone was in the Great Hall eating breakfast, while Ron was pestering Hermione about who she was going with to the Yule Ball.
"I told you, Ron," Hermione scowled, "You don't need to know who's taking me."
"But why?" Ron groaned.
"You'll make fun of me."
"By the way, you look different..." Harry mentioned.
Hermione blushed, seeming to not want to tell them. "After Malfoy put the curse on my teeth, Madam Pomphrey started shrinking them, and well, I had her do them a bit smaller than before," she explained.
As the group was about to leave for their first class of the day, Pig came back, delivering a letter to Harry.
"I'll open it later when there's less people," Harry told them.

A few days later, it was Christmas morning. Aurora woke up to a pair of mismatched socks from Dobby, along with some candy from Ron, books from Hermione- which consisted of a book of fairy tales that she knew she would enjoy reading later- a ring from Harry, more books from Percy, some prank supplies from the twins and Ginny, and a pair of new shoes from Remus and Sirius.
The morning consisted of a wonderful breakfast feast, and a prank war against the Weasley twins (which she obviously won). In the middle of a snowball fight with the Weasleys, Harry, and Hermione, Aurora, Ginny (who was asked by Neville to the dance), and Hermione left to go get ready for the Yule Ball.
The girls took turns doing each others hair and makeup, and soon it was time for Aurora to change into her dress.
She was wearing a floor length light blue, off the shoulder dress, paired with some light blue heels (which were the shoes she got from her parents for Christmas).
"Wow, you look gorgeous," Ginny said after getting in her dress.
"Thanks, so do you," Aurora complemented the younger girl. Hermione was soon done changing into her dress too, and also received and gave compliments.
The three walked out of the room, excited for the ball.
