Aurora walked out of the fireplace, coughing at the amount of soot she had inhaled. Before she could gather her surroundings, she was immediately engulphed in a hug.
"Eurgh!" she exclaimed and tensed up, but then relaxed as she was let out of the hug and realized it was Ginny and Hermione.
They both had grown and matured over the summer, clearly. Ginny grew a few inches taller and Hermione's hair lost its bushiness.
"Where's Harry?" Aurora asked, looking around the room. She received a letter from him earlier in the week saying that the Weasley's were coming to pick him up the same day she arrived.
Hermione and Ginny exchanged looks with each other after Aurora asked the question. They both knew that her and Harry had to have something going on between them that would cause them to be more than friends.
"What?" Aurora asked the two, clearly clueless that they were having a conversation with their eyes.
"Nothing. Harry should be here soon. Mr. Weasley, the twins, and Ron just left to go get him," Hermione answered the girl.
The three girls left the room and walked into the kitchen, where Mrs. Weasley was preparing dinner. Once the older woman noticed them, she immediately stopped what she was doing and walked over to Aurora, giving one of her wonderful hugs.
"Hello dear, how are you? Have you been sleeping alright?" Mrs. Weasley asked. Remus and Sirius sent her a letter in advance letting her know about their daughters sleeping problems.
Before Aurora could answer, Mrs. Weasley pulled her out of the hug and pinched her cheeks, moving her head from side to side. "Hmm... you're looking a bit peaky. Are you eating alright?"
"Yeah, Mrs. Weasley," Aurora replied. Aurora and Mrs. Weasley were close enough that the two of them could be mother and daughter. After running into a grief-stricken Remus a few months after Lily and James died and Sirius' imprisonment while making a trip to Diagon Alley, she instantly to the man and Aurora under her wing, welcoming them to her family.
Aurora looked up to the red head and loved her kindness and compassion that she showed for others, as well as her caring nature.
A few minutes after the three girls began helping Mrs. Weasley with dinner, despite the woman's protests that they didn't have to, there was a loud noise, followed by loud talking coming from the living room.
The four of them quickly walked to the other room, wondering what the sounds were. When Mrs. Weasley opened the door, Hermione, Ginny, and Aurora peeked into the room and saw the remaining of the Weasleys (other than Percy, Charlie, and Bill, who were all working).
Plus Harry, who was looking as hot as ever, Aurora thought.
She quickly shook the thoughts out of her head, not knowing where they came from, and walked over to Harry, giving him a hug. Hermione and Ginny shared a look once again, catching Harry's face that was turning the color of the Weasley's hair.
"Hi Rora," Harry whispered as they left the hug, but still keeping their arms wrapped around each other.
Aurora cleared her throat. "Hey," she replied, trying to sound cool and hoping that her face wasn't turning red like Harry's did.
"Oi! What about my hug?" Ron said playfully, walking over to them.
Aurora left Harry's embrace and went to hug her 'older brother'.
More hugs were given, and more glances were exchanged as the greetings went on.
I don't own Harry Potter. The series belongs to J.K. Rowling. I only own Aurora and anything you don't recognize from the books or movies.
