A few days later, it was the Gryffinfour's first defense against the dark arts class for the year. The four were nervous, especially after hearing the Weasley twins words after going to that class the day prior.

The four, along with the rest of their class, walked into the classroom quietly. They all sat down, trying not to laugh at the woman's horrendous outfit as she walked out of her office.

"Good afternoon, class," the woman said.

She received no response.

"I said, 'good afternoon, class," Professor Umbridge repeated, rather forcefully.

"Good afternoon, Professor Umbridge," the class muttered.

"OWL. Ordinary Wizarding Level," the woman began her speech, "These tests will determine what career path you will take and, more importantly, if you will advance to the next grade level. If you listen to me, you should easily pass your Defense Against the Dark Arts examinations. If not, the consequences will be severe."

She then passed out books to each student, titled Defense Against the Dark Arts Basics for Beginners.

"P-professor?" Aurora stuttered. The woman turned to her, immediately giving a judging look at the resemblance to Sirius Black.

"Yes?"

"We've already learned everything in here," Aurora explained after scamming through the pages.

"It is to my understanding that you have had various teachers throughout your time here, and none of them were approved by the ministry. Therefore, everything in the curriculum will be retaught through the reading of this book."

"Professor?" Hermione raised her hand this time. Professor Umbridge annoyingly motioned for the muggleborn to continue.

"How are we supposed to know how to use the spells when all we're doing is reading?"

"If you understand the theory, you will be able to use it."

"How is theory supposed to prepare us for what's out there?"

"Hand, Mr. Potter," the old hag screeched, "What do you think is out there that would harm children, such as yourselves?"

"I dunno, maybe Lord Voldemort?"

"Lord Voldemort is dead!"

"Then how did Cedric Diggory die?!"

"Diggory's death was a tragic accident!"

"I saw him! I fought him!"

"ENOUGH!" Umbridge yelled, "Voldemort is dead! You are telling lies, Potter!"

"No he's not!" Aurora said, furiously standing up. Before the girl could say anything else, Umbridge scribbled on a couple pieces of paper and handed them to Aurora and Harry.

"Report to your head of house immediately," Professor Umbridge seethed.

The two left, resisting the urge to yell.

I don't own Harry Potter. The series belongs to J.K. Rowling. I only own Aurora and anything you don't recognize from the books or movies.
