Before Aurora could comprehend it, it was Christmas. She was woken up on that joyous day by her father singing Christmas carols throughout Grimmauld Place.

"Oh, Christmas Tree, oh Christmas Tree! How lovely are your branches!" he sang, coming into Aurora's room loudly, "Rise and shine, Rory! It's Christmas!"

"'S too early," Aurora groaned, shoving her head in her pillow when Sirius turned the lights on.

"Happy Christ- What is that?" Sirius asked.

Oh, shoot.

Aurora was so caught up with Sirius' joy, she'd forgotten to cover up her hand, which still contained the scar informing her that she was a monster.

"W- What? It's nothing. What are you talking about?" Aurora asked, shaking her hand and sitting up, immediately covering up her hand.

"Aurora," Sirius said sternly but gently, sitting down on the edge of her bed, "What's on your hand."

The young girl showed him her hand and watched as he caressed it in his hands. Aurora could tell that her father was getting mad, however she just hoped it wasn't at her.

"What is this?" he asked, becoming angrier by the second.

Aurora took a deep breath, trying not to cry, "We have this new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Umbridge, and she's horrible. She was saying that Harry and I were spreading lies about Cedrics death and made us write lines for detention using a blood quill," Aurora now had tears flowing out of her eyes, "And, well, she told me to write this, and said that you and papa were monsters."

Sirius began getting emotional too, however he was still angry, "Aurora, I want you to look at me," the young girl looked up at her father, teary eyed, "You are not a monster, understand? I don't want you to believe a word that comes out of her mouth. Everything she says, especially about you, a big lie. You are not a monster Aurora, and your papa and I love you just the way you are."

The two hugged, still crying.

I don't own Harry Potter. The series belongs to J.K. Rowling. I only own Aurora and anything you don't recognize from the books or movies.
