"So, you can sleep here, for now. Tomorrow we can start finding a way to get you home," Kade informed her. He led the girl back to his home, which Aurora had to admit was quite nice. Apparently, his parents were on vacation, so for the next few weeks he would be there alone.
"Um, thanks," Aurora responded simply.
"Uh, sure," Kade said awkwardly, "Listen, er, you can get settled in, I guess, and I'll go get you something to change into."
Before Aurora even had the chance to blink, Kade was back with sweatpants and a sweatshirt.
"These are for you. There's a bathroom across the hall for you to change your clothes and take a shower if you want. There's also a spare toothbrush under the sink," Kade told Aurora.
The girl snorted, "You have an interesting choice of style, don't you?" The sweatpants the slightly older boy handed her were normal, however the sweatshirt was bright yellow with a horrendous looking green duck.
"Haha, very funny. Listen, I'll leave you to your own thoughts, and see you in the morning," Kade responded, rolling his eyes before leaving the room and gently shutting the door.
Aurora pattered her feet to the bathroom across the hall and went in to shower and get ready for bed. She didn't take long and was soon back in what Aurora assumed was the guest room.
As she curled up into the bed, which Aurora thought of as the most comfortable one she had ever been in (and quite the upgrade from the coffin), her thoughts consumed her mind. She thought about everything going on, between how she died, how she was going to find her family, and the fact that Kade - although she didn't know anything about him (which is dumb considering she put her trust in him) - is kind of cute (it an annoying way).
It took a while, but the girl finally went to sleep.
I don't own Harry Potter. The series belongs to J.K. Rowling. I only own Aurora and anything you don't recognize from the books or movies.
