Today is the day everyones been waiting for. It was the first task of the Triwizard Tournament and spirits couldn't be higher.

I stood in front of the mirror, applying one last coat of mascara over my lashes while Malfoy stood behind me; a hand through his hair as he tried to perfect it. When I finally finished, I twisted the tube shut and placed it on top of the dresser besides me.

I glanced into the mirror once more and saw Malfoy pulling a pair of black, wooly gloves over his porcelain hand. "You look nice," I said, looking from his black turtleneck all the way down to his shoes.

"Not too bad yourself," he said, glancing up at me. There was a little more colour to his cheeks than usual. I tilted my head, smiling. "Don't start to flatter me, Malfoy." I drawled, sarcasm in my voice. "I might be swept off my feet."

Malfoy rolled his eyes and smiled. "Come on," he said, pulling our bedroom door open. I followed him out into the stairwell, grinning. We walked through the castle and trekked a couple miles outside. There was a large arena where the first task was being held.

On the way there, we saw a tent where the Champions must've been preparing.

The arena not only teemed with hundreds of students, but dozens of coloured banners as well. Some with badgers to support Cedric, others with lions to support Harry. I looked around the stadium and saw.

"H.P!"

"C.D!"

"F.D!"

"V.K!"

Absolutely everywhere.

We quickly joined the other Slytherins which were located nearby. Blaise lifted his head and grinned when he saw me coming towards him, Malfoy hot on my heels. "Look who finally decided to show," he said, his chocolate-brown gaze drifting to Malfoy. "You look happy."

"For once." I said, amusement all over my face as I slid down into a seat.

"What's the occasion?" Pansy asked from behind, running a few fingers through my hair. "Potter? Triwizard Tournament? High chances of injury?" Malfoy said as though it were obvious. "It's the perfect formula for his downfall, is it not?"

Before anyone could respond, two familiar red-heads emerged. "Step up, mates! Who fancies a flutter on tonight's bloodbath?" Fred said, a large basket in his hands.
