When I returned later that evening, Malfoy was already in bed.
However, that isn't what surprised me. What surprised me was to see my side of the bed already made, a few extra pillows and blankets placed atop. There was also a dry, neatly folded pair of pyjamas placed on the end.
I furrowed my brows and looked back up. Malfoy was laying on his side, breathing peacefully in his sleep. "Thanks, you prat..." I whispered, pulling the duvet a little further up his shoulders before I grabbed my pyjamas and disappeared into the bathroom.

"Good mooorning," sung a drawling, sarcastic voice.
I groaned quietly under my breath and rubbed two clenched fists over my eyes. "What time is it?" I murmured sleepily.
"Time for you to get your backside out of bed," Malfoy said, tossing a jumper over my face. I sighed deeply to myself before I peeled the jumper from my eyes and sat up.
"What's the deal?" I asked, continuing to rub the crusts out of my left eye.
"It's Hogsmeade today," Malfoy said, picking up his black overcoat from the back of a chair. "And despite how amusing it would be to leave you behind, I need you to do me a favour."
He turned around to face me. I raised a suspicious brow at him, "That's a long shot."
"I know," Malfoy said, holding up his overcoat. "But I can't pull this on over my arm."
"Oh you seriously aren't still milking that, are you?" I yawned.
"Milking it?" Malfoy scoffed in disbelief. "I have a serious injury, L/N. Madam Pomfrey told me I'm not allowed to conduct any extraneous activities until it's fully—,"
"Pulling on a coat is extraneous?" I cut him off with a laugh, "Well that's a new low."
Malfoy rolled his eyes. "Just help me," he said, thrusting the overcoat into my face. "Fine," I gave in with a sigh. "But this is the first and last time I'm ever doing you a favour."
Malfoy grinned, "Fine by me."
"Just... turn around," I sighed after easing his left arm into his sleeve. As told, he turned around, so I draped the rest of the coat over his back. "Okay, now face me."
Malfoy turned around again, the smirk on his porcelain face resembling a Cheshire Cat. I simply rolled my eyes and gently held onto his bandaged arm. Once I finally managed to ease it into his other sleeve, he opened his mouth to speak.
