I couldn't sleep in the time when Draco was gone. My mind was awhirl.
The door creaked and Draco slipped into the room, as quiet as a mouse. His eyes turned to the bed, expecting to see me asleep, but instead he was greeted by my eager eyes. "Oh Y/N," he sighed, pulling off his robes.
"Come," I said, patting the bed. "Lay with me."
Draco needn't be asked twice. He kicked off his shoes and slumped down onto the bed, right in front of me. I spread my legs a little and allowed him to rest his head between them. "Talk to me." I whispered, stroking my fingers through his hair.
"You need to avoid Umbridge," he mumbled.
I laughed a little under my breath, "Tell me something I don't know."
"No, you don't understand." Draco turned his eyes towards me. His face was deadly serious. "Shes planning on using Veritaserum on students."
"What?" I looked down at him, eyes wide. "But that's illegal—,"
"She doesn't care." Draco said, sitting up. He turned around and looked right into my eyes, "Which is why you must avoid her."
I frowned. "But what about—,"
"Y/N, I don't care about Dumbledore's Army. Just please, behave." Draco insisted. "Because if she finds out that you've been involved with anything—,"
I cut Draco off by grabbing the side of his face and pulling him into me. "Draco, I'll be okay." I whispered against his lips. "Please don't stress over me. You have enough going on."
"I can't not stress about you." Draco admitted. "I love you too much."
He didn't let me respond after that. He closed the space between our lips and I fell back into the mattress, the weight of his body on top of mine. "Just."
Kiss.
"Behave."
Kiss.
I briefly pulled my lips away from him and promised; "I will."

Draco and I entered the Great Hall for breakfast at exactly the same moment as the post owls the next morning.
While most had originally scrapped their Daily Prophet subscriptions; nearly everyone sat waiting, eager for more news about the escaped Death Eaters, who, despite many reported sightings, had still not been caught.
"What's that?" I asked, looking at Blaise as I sat down at the Slytherin table.
He was unrolling a tightly curled copy of the Quibbler. He turned it around and showed it to both myself and Draco. Harry's face was sheepishly grinning at everyone from the front cover, bold, red letters screaming;
"HARRY POTTER SPEAKS OUT AT LAST:
THE TRUTH ABOUT HE-WHO-MUST-NOT-BE-NAMED AND THE NIGHT I SAW HIM RETURN""Oh god," I mumbled, snatching the copy from Blaise. Draco stared beadily at him from over my shoulder. I quickly looked up and glanced towards the Gryffindor table, where a dozen owls were perched around Harry.
