It was dark by the time a stream of light poured into my bedroom. Draco sheepishly poked his head around the door before he slipped inside. He'd just returned from a detention— a result of being out of the castle after lights out. Only I had been excused from the detention, and that was for obvious reasons.

"How was detention?" I ask, impatiently tapping my upper arm. "Boring," Draco shrugged as he pulled his robe from his shoulders. "As of now, all I want to do is spend time with you."

"Really?" I probe, voice laced with sarcasm.

Draco looked up. He frowned at both your expression and tone. "What's wrong?" He asked. "Oh, nothing." I said, again, sarcastically. Draco watched as I reached over and snatched the envelope from our nightstand. "I just wonder how this found its way out of the bin."

"Y/N—," Draco started.

"Didn't mummy ever tell you it's rude to invade someone's privacy, Malfoy?"

Draco winced at the use of his first name. "I was worried—," He tried to explain, but stopped when he heard me scoff. "What, do you think you can help or something?" I sneered.

"I do."

Silence reigned over the room.

"You can stay with me over the summer," Draco continued. "You won't have to go back home... with them."

"I can't," I shook my head. "I'm not going to burden myself on your family, Draco."

Draco stepped forward and cupped my face in both hands. "You will never be a burden to me, Y/N."

My first lesson of the day was Charms with Professor Flitwick. I was already running late when I bumped into Dean Thomas; though I didn't have the time to apologise. I simply gave him a sorry smile over my shoulder and continue on, my books tucked into against my chest.

"Where've you been?" Draco asked when I sat down next to him, out of breath. "I needed the toilet." I whispered, "but bloody Peeves flooded them all so I had to go back to our room."

Draco shook his head, amused. He slid a sheet of parchment in front of me and tapped the end of his quill against it. "Here's— those are all of the notes you missed."

I looked up and sent him a grateful smile. Draco has always exceeded in Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts.

"Morning, class." Flitwick smiled across the classroom. "In all honest, today might not be the most exciting lesson; though the charm I'm about to introduce you to is going to be very useful. Most of your parents probably use some of these charms on a day to day basis. So, let us start off with the Scouring Charm."

Draco straightened beside me, listening with intent.

"The Scouring Charm is a charm used to make an object clean. Your parents probably use this charm around the house since it requires minimal effort. Though be warned, this charm can also serve other purposes. For example, my mother liked to use this charm to punish either me or my siblings whenever one swore. Why, you may ask? Well, the Scouring Charm can be used to fill one's mouth with soap."

"Soap?" Draco accidentally said aloud.

"Yes, Mr Malfoy. Soap." Flitwick dipped his head. "Which is why I must remind you to NOT try this charm on one of your classmates and rather the mug in front of you. Now, please turn to page 26 in your books where you will find how to cast it."
