~ Years in the future ~

Little was I aware that Christmas morning had arrived so soon, and the snow that fell ever so gently outside of our penthouse windows only made me snuggle up even further to the warm body that slept soundly besides me, and even further into the comfy bed duvets that were wrapped all snugly around us.
It was safe to say the chilly winter morning allowed a nice start to the joyous holiday.
However despite how safe and cosy I felt to be snuggled beneath the warm blankets rather than outside in the bitter cold snow, it didn't take long for my body to return to a conscious state when a little shuffle stirred.
A tiny hand grabbed the hem of the bed duvets, and tugged endlessly- trying to not burst with excitement. I could hear a few straggled huffs and puffs from all the tugging, and I was ripped fully from my state of sleep. A soft groan escapes my lips when the morning light met my heavy eyes, and the new day revealed a little platinum blond bundle of joy, and a pair of bright blue eyes identical to his fathers.
'Mama- Mama! Wake up, it's Christmas!' Scorpius whisper-shouts, proceeding to tug on the hem of our blankets. His bright blue eyes were shining, and his eagerness only seemed to grow when he noticed my eyes had opened.
'Good morning, baby...' I whisper tiredly, almost in a sleepy haze- deeply wishing I could just have one non-early morning. But when I opened my arms to wrap them around Scorpius's little body, there was nothing I'd want more than to have him with me- snuggled safely in my arms.
Carefully heaving him up onto our bed, Scorpius clung tightly to my shoulders; his tiny head snuggled right up into my chest. My heart almost melted when he smiled against my chest, and tightened his little tiny arms around me. Just like any mother, the love I felt for my babies was something so vast it couldn't even be measured on a scale.
'Mama, it's Christmas!' Scorpius beams, and I lightly nudge the other bundle of platinum blond besides me- although he had already been awake. He had just been trying to hide it- probably praying for another minute of peace or two.
'I know, love, I know.' I smile softly, gently pressing a soft kiss against his little forehead. Scorpius giggled happily, and it was no secret that these simple affectionate touches were enough to make him all giddy. 'Merry Christmas, my sweet baby...'
Draco was laying on his side, and was smiling like an idiot to himself even though we couldn't see it.
'Draco, your sons awake...' I lightly poke him again, and this time Draco finally gave up the act, fully rolling over onto his back.
'Our son.' Draco corrects, just like he used to back in Hogwarts. I guess it still felt surreal to say we finally had our own child after all this time. It simply used to be an idea we'd dream and talk about together, but now it was finally our reality.
'Dada!' Scorpius beams at the sight of his awakened father, immediately sitting up to make grabby hands at the man that he looked almost identical to- he was just the more adorable and much tinier version. His whole body was nearly bouncing up and down in uncontainable excitement, and the sight made Draco grin a little to himself.
'Merry Christmas, baby.' Draco coos, carefully wrapping his strong arms around Scorpius's little body, heaving him up into his own chest. 'You had a nice sleep?' He asks softly, gently stroking his fingers over our sons little chubby baby cheeks.
