Pansy linked my arm and dragged me forward. "Come on, this is your moment!" She whispered, eyes glued on where Malfoy stood, his hands in his pockets and his silver gaze searching for mine.
"Pansy!" I whisper-hissed, turning my head to the side so I didn't have to face him. "Come on, loads of the girls are sticking together. Him and I— we're just friends!"
Pansy rolled her eyes. "Oh please, I'll believe your just friends when I see it." She said, a smirk on her face before she pushed me in the direction of the boys. "Go get him!"
I frowned and was about to open my mouth, but she disappeared before a word could come out. A second later, a hand latched onto my arm. I turned my head, surprised to find a pair of bright, green eyes staring back at me.
"Y/N!" Harry sounded breathless, letting go once he had my attention.
"Oh, Harry!' I said, my eyebrows raised. I could feel someone glaring into the back of my head. "Sorry, didn't realise it was you."
"It's alright." Harry shook his head. "It's just um, well seeing as Ron already has a partner." He gazed across the room. Fred and George were dragging Ron between one another by his ears. "I was wondering if you'd like to be mine?"
I looked over my shoulder and saw Pansy's horrified face looking at me. She shook her from side to side, eyes-wide and mouth muttering— "Not that one! Not that one! Behind you! Behind you!"
I turned back to Harry, only to find Malfoy towering over him. He was glaring daggers into the back of his head. "Sorry to disappoint, Potter." Malfoy drawled, shoving Harry to the side. "But Y/N already has a partner."
Harry fixed his glasses back into place, hurt on his face. He watched as Malfoy wrapped his fingers around my wrist and pulled me into him. "You're welcome for that." Malfoy whispered, his lips next to my ear.
"Malfoy, I could've dealt with him myself." I said, placing a hand on his shoulder. Malfoy swept me across the room, moving with grace. Most Slytherins came from aristocratic backgrounds, so learning how to dance was a necessity in early childhood."Plus, what if I wanted to be his partner?"
"Then that would've been a problem." Malfoy said, unaware of the teasing smirk on my face.
"How come?" I asked, lifting my gaze to look into his dark, silver eyes.
"Because I wanted to be your partner."
I tilted my head to the side, my lip between my teeth. Malfoy glanced briefly out of the side of his eye. "Potters watching us," he whispered, a sly smirk on his face. "Is he?" I lifted a brow, watching as Malfoy's lips drew closer to my own.
"Mhm..." Malfoy hummed, his expensive cologne consuming my senses. He leaned forward and gently closed the space between our lips. He pulled back, still smirking and pecked my lips one last time.
There was a little, childish pout on my face as he pulled back. I was half-embarrassed, half-flustered, yet was never one to admit it. I peered over my shoulder and saw two very different faces with two very different expressions looking back at us.
Pansy bobbed on the balls of her feet, all the while she threw a thumbs up in my direction. However, Harry stood alone, his face full of hurt and his eyes clouded with gloom.
