Impatiently tapping my foot against the bathroom floor, my gaze flickers to meet Dracos concentrated one in the mirror. 'Draco, hurry up- how long does it take for you to gel your bloody hair?'
I catch a glimpse of Dracos reflection rolling his icy blue eyes, continuing to just gently stroke through his hair anyways. He had finally decided to switch up his hairstyle at the start of the summer, and cut off all the long hair that drooped down into loose effortless curtains. He cut it short and decided to gel it- at least in a way that was much better than it had been back in first and second year.
His hair appeared much more neat, something he was still getting used to.
He wanted to make a change before sixth year starts, and that was his way of doing it.
Every now and then the sterling silver necklace resting around Dracos neck would catch my eyes, something that made me smile a little at the sight of the snake necklace I bought him for his birthday last year. He still wore it everyday.
Even the serpent ring I bought him for Christmas was still wrapped around his slender finger, along with the matching bracelet that I gifted to him for his birthday this year. He wore them daily, and although he may not show it on the outside- on the inside he could never mentally bring himself to take them off. He was attached to the small yet minimalist objects.
Starting to grow even more bored when he continued to faff on with his hair, I decide to use the light switch on the wall besides me to my advantage, taking the opportunity to annoy him.
Flickering the lights on and off repeatedly, it didn't take long for Draco to start getting frustrated with me. 'Can you just fuck off for one second?!'
I roll my eyes, crossing my arms defiantly around my chest. 'Sheesh, Malfoy. Calm your balls.'
Draco grunts, shooting me a glare from the side of his eyes. 'Whatever... I'm finished with my hair anyways.' he sighs deeply, walking towards the door, snatching my arm on his way past. 'Come on.'
'So demanding.' I tut teasingly, allowing him to just drag me out of the bathroom anyways.
Originally we were planning on taking a simple walk in the field surrounding the Burrow for a breath of fresh air, but that was until Ginny's voice sounded from the bottom of the stairs.
'Mum!?'
Mollys voice then suddenly chirped up from a level in middle of the house. 'Ginny, what is it?'
'I was only wondering when Harry got here?'
'Harry's here?' I mutter to Draco, furrowing my eyebrows in confusion. 'I thought he went back home after visiting Ron the other week?'
Draco shrugs, placing his index finger on his lips to hint that we should be quiet and listen.
'What? Harry- Harry, who?' Molly asks, sounding quite baffled.
'Harry Potter, of course!' Ginny exclaims.
'I think I'd know if Harry Potter was in my house, wouldn't I?' Molly replies sarcastically, sounding as if she thought Ginny had gone stupid.
'His trunk's in the kitchen, and his owl.' Ginny explains.
'But no, dear. I seriously doubt that.' Molly disagrees.
