After a long, long term at Hogwarts; Christmas was upon us at last. Molly Weasley had welcomed me like any normal mother would've for the holidays; though that meant I had to bid an unfortunate farewell to Draco.

He didn't seem to fond to be separated, but it would only be a matter of weeks until I'd see him once more.

There were five beds in the bedroom I shared with the Harry, Ron and Hermione, who like usual, stayed with one another during the holidays. So, with it only being the four of us, I had been tainted with the desirable urge to merge the spare bed with my own.

Selfish? Perhaps.

Peck! Peck!

I looked up from the book I'd been occupied by. Outside the window, was a snowy owl perched on the sill. She had a letter clamped in her beak, and again, she leaned forward and pecked on the window.

"Snowy?"

I struggled with the twisted bed sheets for a second as I tried to get up. "Hey," I cooed, pulling the window open. Snowy squeaked and fluffed out her feathers, trying to shield herself from the cold. I took the letter from her grasp and closed the window after letting her inside.

"Who's that from?" Harry asked, his eyes flashing beneath his glasses. Snowy flew across the room and landed beside where Hedwig sat.

"I'm not sure, there's not a name on it." I said, reading the front of the envelope. So, I turned it over and ripped it open; a slightly crumbled piece of parchment inside.

My dearest, darling Y/N

Hello, sweetheart. How have your holidays been? I know it hasn't been that long, but I'm missing you terribly. I don't feel quite at home without you here. Trust me, once I get you in my arms again you won't be getting out. Enough of the sappiness on my part; and I hate to be a bother, but there's been some... issues over in my ends.

I'll leave the details out for now but I got into a terrible quarrel with my father. And, well, let's just say I'm out the house. I got a train down to London and now I'm writing to you from the Leaky Cauldron. It's completely up to you and the Weasleys, but would it be possible I could stay with you? I'm really sorry to be doing this to you, I wouldn't if I didn't feel it was important. But, there's nowhere else I can go and I hardly have any money with me. Please get back to me as soon as you can, and please, take care of yourself.

I love you, trouble.

"Shit." I breathed, my eyes racing over the neat scrawl.

"What's up?" Harry asked, closing his book.

"It's Draco." I said, what made Harry frown. There was still quite a bit of tension after the fight they'd gotten into. "He's ran off from home."

"Where is he now?" Harry asked, a slight hint of concern laced in his voice. I suppose that was one thing I'd always admired about him. No matter the past, he was always able to feel empathy for another.

"The Leaky Cauldron." I folded the letter and placed it on the nightstand beside me. "He's asking if he could stay with me."

"Do you think Molly will allow it? After everything..." Harry's brows drew together.
