Towels & Heels

"OH, YOU'RE FINALLY out." The sweet familiar voice sang. I covered my chest as I looked at the older woman walk into the room, closing the door behind her.

Thank god..

"I brought you fresh clothes." She said as she glanced at me then the bed. She placed the clothes on the bed before looking back at me. "Why are you naked?"

"I can't find a towel." I mutter, not making eye contact with the lady who was currently staring at me in confusion.

"Ah, we'll they're in there." She stated as she pointed to a  cabinet I hadn't seen before. My eyes widen as I pulled out a white, fluffy towel from the closed cabinet.

"How did I not see that?!" I shouted, more to myself but I heard her let out a giggle.

I slipped the towel around my body, securing it under my armpits as I held its closing across my chest.

"Thank you." I say. She nods and points to the clothes.

"After you finish dressing, come downstairs. You know the way, yes?" She asked as she made her way to the door.

"Yes." I say. She lets out a 'good' before exiting the room. I stand there for a minute, speechless.

Every time I spoke to the woman, it always sounded like she had a sinister plan in her head and I was a big part of it. Her underlying tone made me think something bad was going to happen.

I shook off the feeling as I put on the clothes. After I dried my hair, I looked in the mirror and slightly frowned.

"This is interesting.." I spoke to myself as I turned my body to the side, examining the outfit she gave me.

The outfit itself was amazing but I was confused as to why she would give it to me.

Although I despised heels, I decided to wear the black pumps she gave me as to not seem disrespectful. Even though she has been nothing but nice to me, something tells me she could flip a switch real quick.

Carefully tucking the black shirt into its matching bottoms and slowly walking out the room, I peer down the hallways. Once I saw no one, I slowly walked out the doorway and down the long hall.

The map my brain saved of the layout I've seen so far led me to the large staircase. My hand lightly grazed the thick railing as I walked down the steps, just in case one of these thin ass heels decide to give out.

As I reached the last few steps, I looked around for any sign of life. All I was met with was beautiful furniture and dim lights. The interior was amazing but it felt like a soul hasn't been here in years.

A loud crashing sound interrupted my monologue and I slightly flinched. I stepped off the last step and looked in the direction of the crash. It came from a room, it was dark and I wouldn't have noticed it if I had walked past it.

"Hello?" I shout whispered, not really wanting anyone to hear me.

I stood there, not moving an inch until another sound erupted from the same direction. This time the sound was homey, and made me feel slightly safe.

It was the sound of laughter.

A small being emerged from the dark room and as soon as they noticed me, the smile on his face matched mine.

"Junior!" I shouted in relief.

Finally, seeing someone who wasn't trying to threaten me, kill me, or hurt me.

"Royal!" He shouted back in excitement as he ran towards me. I quickly bent down and wrapped my arms around his small frame as he ran into them.

"I'm so glad to see you." I whispered as I held onto him for dear life. He giggled into my ear and pulled away.

"Me too! I'm happy you're alive!" He said with a big smile. I just gave him a confused one back.

"Huh?" I ask dumbfounded. Before he could answer, another figure steps out the room. Thankfully, it's the lady who gave me these clothes.

"Oh, you're here! Good!" She said as she sped walked towards us. I stood up from Junior and looked at the woman.

"You told me to come down here." I stated. I'd much rather go home and spend whatever little time I have there left.

"And you listened! My son loves an obedient woman." She said as she muttered the last part.

"Excuse me?" I say as I look at her like she's crazy. She bent down, grabbed Junior's hand, waved her hand, and walked away. I quickly followed after her.

"What do you mean your son likes an obedient woman?" I press as I walk besides her. "And why am I still here?"

She ignores me as we enter a larger room, a living room. White sofas are placed in a large rectangular formation, a clear glass coffee table sat in the middle of it and a large TV hung over an antique fire place.

"Sit here," she said as she patted the soft cushion. "Don't touch anything and only speak when spoken to."

"Wait, where are you going?" I ask as she began to drag herself and Junior out the room. She looked back at me and winked before quickly leaving.

I debated on whether or not I should try and escape. As I sat on the surprisingly soft cushion, I slipped off the uncomfortable heels. I sighed in slight relief knowing my toes aren't being squished together.

I laid my head back and closed my eyes. Whatever I was supposed to wait for was taking too long.

It wasn't long until I heard loud footsteps making their way to me. I quickly sat up and basically shoved the shoes onto my aching feet.

I took the older lady's words to heart and stayed seated. I kept my head forward and my eyes focused on the plain white cushion that laid across from me.

The footsteps came to a halt before continuing. Instead of the person walking out of the room like I hopped they would, I hear the loud footsteps nearing me.

The anticipation for who it was killed me. Thundering steps pounding against the tiled ground until they were silently softened due to the gray carpeting that surrounded the couch.

My heart pounded as two large hands landed behind me, gripping the top of the sofa. I felt their eyes boring into my skull but I couldn't move my eyes from the inanimate object before me, mostly due to fear, of course.

The person stood there for what seemed like an eternity.

One of the hands moved themselves from their position besides me, slowly but gently wrapping around my neck.

They moved my head back until it hit the couch and forcibly craned my neck backwards. My eyes met the familiar green ones as they shone with nothing but mischief and lust.

"Sei ancora viva?"
