Lips & Black Dresses
_______________________________IT WAS, ONCE again, silent.
After I told him I had photographic memory, he just stood there and stared at me. His eyes roamed my face and body, just like I had done a thousand times in my life when examining something.
I couldn't tell what he was thinking, much less what would happen to me now.
I should have just lied! Now he knows I won't ever forget his face he'll most likely have me killed!
I clutched the end of my skirt, nervously biting my lip. It was always a bad habit I did when I was nervous or anxious.
As my top row of teeth bit down on my bottom lip, his eyes followed. I gulped as the color of his eyes turned from their dull green to a verdant shade, his hooded eyes never leaving my lips.
A loud bang came from the door, knocking the both of us out of whatever trance we seemed to be stuck in.
I looked towards the door as it quickly opened, revealing a tall, slim woman.
She wore a flowing black dress which reached her ankles. It elegantly dragged behind her as she walked into the room. Her nails painted a baby blue and a shining diamond ring wrapped around her finger.
But the thing that struck out the most about this woman were her features. She was strikingly beautiful. She was an older woman with jet black hair that reached just below her shoulder. The small wrinkles on her face barely noticeable.
Her blue eyes shone with rage as she glanced at me then at the man, who I'm calling Jeb.
For personal reasons of course-
"Prince!" She shouted in an equally thick Italian accent. Jeb sighed deeply as he looked back at the woman.
"Ti avevo detto di non farle del male!" She shouted at him. She quickly walked over to me and bent down, looking at me with sorrowful eyes. (Translation: I told you not to hurt her!)
"I am so sorry for my sons behavior." She said as she took my hand.
Son? Never would have guessed..
I just stared at her in awe, not knowing what to do in a situation where your kidnappers mother apologizes for...her son kidnapping you?
"Oh my! Your neck!" She exclaimed as she tilted my head to the side before glaring at Jeb.
By now my tears had dried, my heart slowed down as I took deep breaths during their argument. I glanced over at the opened door.
I could just run.. I'd most likely be caught though.
"Se continui a ferire le persone, non troverai mai l'amore!" She shouted and I looked at them back and forth as she spoke. (Translation: If you continue to hurt people, you will never find love!)
"Come." She said gently as she walked over to me again. She held out her hand and I hesitantly took it. I looked Jeb's way, only to see him glaring at me. I put my head down as we passed him, walking out the door.
I don't know what just happened, but whatever it was, can't be good.
She stayed silent as she walked me around this ridiculously large house. All I could do was keep my eyes from looking at her, although it was hard.
I wanted to know why I was still here, what they were going to do with me, and if I'll be alive for my next birthday.
"Again, I apologize. My son has been through many difficulties in his life." She suddenly says. I look away from the cream colored walls and look at her azure eyes.
She looks at me and I quickly look down. She stops walking, resulting in my movements stopping as well.
"Oh, darling. Don't be afraid. I won't hurt you." She said in a calm voice.
I looked into her eyes and saw nothing but honesty. It was one of the many things I was able to do besides examine something closely. I can easily tell if someone is lying. Everyone has a tell sign.
"Why am I here?" I whispered but she still heard me. She gave me a motherly smile before speaking.
"Come, let's go somewhere a little more quiet."
