"ANNABELLA, PLEASE ENOUGH already." I groaned, the cart coming to a stop as I refused to push it due to her insistence.

"I'm sorry, I'm just curious! I mean the last time you told me you had a girlfriend I became an auntie at the young age of fourteen!" She shot back.

I rolled my eyes, examining the things in the cart.

"Noelle was not my girlfriend." I stated, combing through the slight mountain of baby clothes my sister demanded we get, to see what else we needed to add to our little shopping spree.

"Okay, so Royal is?" She pressed. I looked back up to her, furrowing my eyebrows in thought.

"Well we never really talked about it." I stated once I thought about our relationship.

We never really talked about it..

"Really? What is this high school?" Annabella chided. "You've had sex, said you've loved each other yet you guys never had the talk?"

I shook my head, slightly uncomfortable talking to my younger sister about this.

"How is that possible?" She wondered aloud as she tossed in a few more baby clothes, absentmindedly checking the tag.

"I don't know, we just never felt the need to." I replied honestly. She looked back at me, sighing before turning to completely look at me.

"I don't mean to be that person but.. what if she didn't make it?" She mumbled under her breath. I raised my brow at her hypothetical, her immediately dismissing what she presumed I was thinking.

"I'm just saying, she would have been gone and neither of you would have known what you meant to each other." She clarified.

Anna was right. I knew my love for Royal was something I had never felt before but did she know that? If not I have to show her. My occupation is dangerous and I don't know how often I'd come back home.

"And how do I do that?" I queried, grabbing her attention once more. "How do I make her know how I feel?"

Anna narrowed her eyes at me, examining me as I endured her gaze. After a long moment she broke her stare, a smile taking over her features.

"You're ready." She stated. I looked at her confusedly, her words making me second guess asking her for advice.

"Ready for what?"

"Anna what are we doing here?" I asked, my eyes skimming past the large cases that lined the walls.

"Ring shopping," She said in a sing song voice. That's how I knew I was in deep trouble. "What do you think she'd like?"

I stood there dumbfounded. Never had I thought of rings. Never had I thought of marriage. Whenever the topic came up with Royal, it was always in a joking manner.

This is real.

"Anna I can't do this." I say quietly, the gravity of the situation slowly hitting me. She looked back at me, pulled away from a large glass case that displayed the various rings and scoffed.

"You got her pregnant, you better do this." She stated sassily.

"Of course I want to marry Royal— it is Royal after all— but I do not think right now would be the best time to propose." I try to explain.
