Nice & Beautiful
_______________________________

WITH MY NATURAL curls in my hair, I took a quick shower, applied light makeup that I found in the bedrooms vanity, and applied lotion to my body like crazy.

I sat at the vanity, finishing my makeup when I truly looked at myself. I was beautiful.

I am beautiful.

I smiled to myself before I got up and slipped on the heels, carefully balancing my body on the thin structures.

I fixed my hair in the mirror that was posted by the door, making sure not to look like such a train wreck.

There was a knock at the door, startling me. I looked up at the hanging clock and saw it was ten, on the dot. I opened the door and saw my favorite person, who wasn't a child that is.

"Aidan."

"Miss Queen, follow me?" He asked as he held out his arm. I smiled as my hands held onto his bicep, following after him.

"He's really efficient, huh?" I question as we walk down the hall. He chuckled as his blonde hair lightly swayed to the side as he looked at me.

"He's more of a.. punctual man, yes." He responded with ease. I nodded, thinking about the things I'd discuss with Prince.

My eyebrows shot up in realization as I thought I could idealize the little time I have with Aidan now.

"Say Aidan, do you by any chance know anyone named Marcus?" I queried as I fell in step with him.

He looked up in thought, clearly racking his brain for a reliable answer.

"I couldn't say. I rarely see anyone besides maids, cooks, and bodyguards around this place." He replied truthfully. I nodded in understanding.

We slowly walked down a large staircase, making short conversation with one another before I saw an impatient Prince standing at the bottom.

"Whoa.." I whisper to myself, unaware that Aidan, who was right besides me, could hear me.

Prince had on a jet black suit paired with a dark gray tie. He wore black formal shoes while the midsection of his coat was buttoned.

He adorned a rugged yet calm look, luring in any person from miles away.

As me and Aidan walked down a few more steps closer to Prince, Aidan let go of me, making me look back at him in shock.

"Good luck!" He whispered in a song song voice before quickly strutting up the stairs, abandoning me with Prince.

I looked down at Prince, only to see him already staring at me, almost in awe.

"You dress up nicely." I compliment as I walked most the way down. I stopped on the last step, gaining at least a centimeter on him.

"I could say the same. You look nice." He replied, lips slightly curving into a sincere smile.

"I'd bet I do." I say as I cross my arms. "You picked out my outfit."

He gave me a low chuckle before nodding in agreement.

"At least we know I know what looks good on you." He shrugged. I rolled my eyes before looking away.

"Let's get going, I have reservations for ten thirty." He gestured his arm out, implying I take it. I was about to when I remembered something.

"Wait." I say as I look back up the stairs. "I didn't get to put in my contacts. I was going to but I didn't see them there."

"That's because I didn't put them in there." He said bluntly. I cocked my head to the side, confused.

"Why not?" I asked as I looked back at him.

He stared at me for a second before taking a step towards me, separating our faces by only a few inches.

"Because, Royal," He raised his hand and gently placed it against my cheek. He caressed it carefully as he continued. "You're beautiful and you don't need to hide that."

His hand slowly lowered down to the side of my neck as his large hand loosely grabbed it.

"Okay?" He questioned, his steel green eyes focused on mine. It was hard to look away, so I didn't.

"Okay." I replied breathlessly, releasing a breath I didn't know I was holding.

"Good. Now let's go, I suspect we have a lot to talk about?" He said as he held out his arm. I hesitantly took it, still reminding myself how to breathe.

"Yeah, we do."
