POV: CHANGE

I WATCHED THE little girl as she looked out the window, her feet barely reaching the floor. Royal decided to style her hair into two puffs, complaining about something called '4C hair'.

The way she'd smile as she carefully did her hair made my heart stop, seeing the caring and loving look on her face made me fall in love with her all over again.

I hope the baby is a girl.

The small girl had decorations in her hair, her outfit hand selected by my mother as she decided to go out shopping for her. Apolline had no objections to the matter, telling us that she had never gone shopping before.

My eyes glanced to the rear window, seeing two more SUV's following us and internally groaning as I remembered they were filled to the brim with the clothes that were bought for her. I was slightly amused at how much could be spent on a single child.

"Can we go get ice cream? June-June said he ate it before." She finally spoke up. I looked at her in slight shock, seeing as this is the first time she's spoken to me since we got in the car. It's been an hour. 

"June-June? Are you speaking about Adonis?" I questioned. She just stared at me with squinted eyes, shrugging her shoulders.

"I don't know but I'm pretty sure he's your son." She said as she looked back out the window. It took her nearly a second to forget what she had asked me and I was amazed.

She watched as the buildings turned into trees, the deserted area grabbing her attention. She looked back at me and tilted her head.

"Where are we going?" She asked as she pointed out the window.

My eyes shot open, staring up at a familiar ceiling as the sound of machines beeping filled the room. Once I was aware of where I was, I quickly sat up.

My body flinched as a wave of pain shot through me, resonating between my shoulder and waist. I pulled out the wires sticking to my body with a grunt.

Royal. Where's Royal?

I groaned as my head spun, the walls and floors meshing together. As soon as I pulled out a white wire, the machine besides me flatlined, resulting in me gritting at the loud noise.

The door burst open as five men rushed in. They all stood there, silently examining the room with automatic weapons in their hands. Leonardo pushed through them and stopped in front of me. He stared at me with wide eyes.

"D-Don, what are you doing awake?!" He shouted in confusion. I stared at him, irritated with the noises.

"Lower your damn voice." I spat, making him shut his mouth. All the men stared at the two of us, not knowing what to do next, seeing as there was no intruder. "Get the fuck out."

My order caused the five of them to jump in shock before running out the room. The door closed behind the last one and Leonardo stared back at me.

"Don you should be asleep." He stated, his voice lowered.

"Where is Royal?" I asked with a grunt, ignoring his comment.

"What? She's here but that shouldn't matter." He said, stepping forward. I weakly stood up, using my surroundings to balance myself.
