POV: CHANGE

IM SITTING AT my desk signing papers with my mind racing.

My mother forced me to stay in my office until I've finished with all this shit I was supposed to get done months ago. She couldn't have picked a worse time.

I tried to rush through these as the thought of Liz and Royal bumping into each other crossed my mind.

What things would she tell Royal?

I groaned when I heard a knock at my door. Thinking it was my mother, I shouted for them to enter. I didn't look up from the white sheet of paper until a thin hand with pink nails grabbed it from me.

"Hey, hun. Long time no see." She says with a smile. I look up to see familiar blonde waves and blue eyes.

"Liz." I mutter.

This has got to mean that she's run into Royal, right?

"That's all I get? A monotone 'Liz'?" She scoffed jokingly. I internally groaned at what she was wearing when I realized.

She always tried so hard for nothing to happen.

"What am I supposed to say? You did, after all, drop by my house unannounced." I state.

"Well yeah, to see you!" She yelled as she ran around my desk, jumping on me as her hands wrapped around my neck to give me a hug.

"Okay, that's enough." I say as I push her back.

"I see you're still a sour puss. Good to know nothings changed." She laughed. I asked my brow at the thought.

Nothings changed? I might like my sons nanny. Pretty sure that's something.

"Liz, why are you here?" I asked as I slid my chair back to get a better view of the woman who annoyed the living hell out of me when we were younger.

"To visit an old friend of course!" She said giddily as she rested her hands on my shoulder.

"You have dozens of other people you could reconnect with," I state as I remove her hand. "Why bother me?"

She stared at me for a while, her eyes looking to my lips and down my chest.

"You're right." She said with a sigh and shrugged. "We're more than friends."

The smirk she gave alarmed me, but not as much as when she launched herself at me, straddling my lap.

"Elizabeth, get off of me." I said as calm as possible.

"Ohh, no nickname? You only do that when you're serious." She whispers as her hand reached up to unbutton my shirt. "I like it when you're serious."

"Elizabeth. Get off of me now." I say. Her hands worked quick to unbutton the rest of my shirt as I spoke, her hand running up and down my chest as the other went to my shoulder.

"Why? You gonna hit me?" She whispered in my ear as she leaned forward, lightly grinding  on me. "You know how rough I like it."

"No. Elizabeth, listen." I say as I stop her. She looks down at me with a smirk, thinking she's won. "This will never happen."

"Never?" She repeated as a question. I nodded my head in confirmation. She frowned before anger took over. "I can't give you up!"

She roughly grabbed the back of my neck with the both of her hands pulling my lips to hers. I cringed as I had to put my hands on her waist, getting ready to throw her off me.

"Prince, you should- OH GOD!" I heard the familiar voice shriek. I shoved Liz's face from mine to see Royal standing there, a look of disgust and heartbreak clear as day on her face. "Never mind!"

She ran out the room before I could stop her. I threw Elizabeth's body off mine before I rushed after her.

"Royal wait!" I shouted as I caught up with her. I grabbed her wrist and spun her around. She ripped her hand from mine and took several steps back. When she finally looked at me, I saw her beautiful eyes filled with tears as a few slipped down her face, breaking my heart.

"D-don't touch me!" She shouted. I refrained myself and the need to hold her, obeying her wishes.

Her chest heaved heavily and her breath quickened. She looked up at me and broke out into sobs.

"Please let me explain." I begged. I hated myself for making her cry. I hated myself for causing her this much pain.

"I bet you have a perfectly reasonable explanation as to why..that was happening," She began, making hand gestures towards me. "But I can't."

"Baby-" She rose her hand, cutting me off.

"No. Please.. no." She said as she wiped her tears. She turned around and continued walking until she stopped again. She looked back at me.

"Junior is alone right now. Maybe once in a while spend time with your son, he looks up to you for some reason." She said before walking off.

I'm sorry..
