"THE DON SUDDENLY woke up," He exclaimed excitedly, practically dashing behind his desk. Aidan and I shared a look, watching as Leo furiously typed on his keyboard. "look."

He swiveled his screen towards us, the security camera footage showing a sleeping Prince. He laid there for a moment before his eyes slowly opened.

Mine widened as Aidan gasped, both of us leaning closer to the screen. He quickly sat up, his eyes scanning his surroundings as he pulled out the wires from his wrist before he tried to stand up.

The footage was muted but there was clear commotion as Princes' eyes shot to the rooms' door after it opened. A handful of men bursted in with guns and Leo followed. They spoke for a moment.

After a few seconds only Leo and Prince were in the room. Aidan and I watched silently from when Prince woke up to when Leo injected something to Princes' bloodstream.

"What did you give him?" Aidan asked once the footage ended.

"Just something that will keep him asleep. He needs rest." He assured.

I listened to their conversation as my fingers landed on the left arrow key, rewinding enough to see Prince just as he woke up. The peaceful look on his face before he reacted and those green eyes I've come to adore making me smile.

"What amazes me is that he's not supposed to wake up for at least another month." Leo began to explain, my eyes watching as an angry Prince yelled at his men. "It's a miracle."

Although he seemed ready to kill anyone in his way, I wish I was there to see him awake again.

"Okay, what does this mean?" Aidan asked, slightly getting frustrated with Leo's vagueness.

"I've been feeding him small doses of what I injected him with to prevent him from waking up again," He began but quickly stopped as my eyes darted from the screen to his face.

"You're saying you could've woken him up this entire time?" Aidan huffed, reading my mind as I silently stared at Leo.

"Medically yes, but morally I shouldn't."

"Right, because he needs to heal?" I say. The both of them look at me as I silently looked back down at the screen, rewinding again. "Why not give him the drugs that'll do that already instead of knocking him out?"

Aidan turns back to Leo, waiting for an explanation.

"It's not like The Don doesn't have the money to get it if you don't already have it." Aidan chimed.

"Yes, that's true, but when you take all the injuries The Don has taken over the few years he's been in charge into account— hell even the ones he gained beforehand— it wouldn't have been the smartest course of action." He explains.

"So what is the smartest thing we could do now?" I ask solemnly, respecting Leo's perspective on the matter. He was trying to do what he thought best for Prince, I could understand that.

"Now... I believe it may be safe to wake him. I've consulted with a few of my colleagues on the matter and they've helped me come to that hopeful conclusion." He breathed out.
