"THANK YOU," I said as the petite blonde brought me my coffee, setting the cup in front of me. She gave me a sweet smile before she looked across from me, her cheeks instantly turning red. I raised a brow at how oblivious he was to the fact that she was staring at him.

Zion had arrived a few minutes after me so I had time to order before he came. Since he just arrived the blonde was trying to ask him if he wanted to order, but she was obviously too shy to.

"Zion." I spoke up, pulling his attention from his phone and back to me. He looked at me and my eyes darted to the blonde that stood next to me. He looked up at her and gave her a charming smile.

"Uh, I'll take a coffee please. Black." He answered, his gaze going to me for a split second.

Did he just-

"Of course, just a moment!" She scurried away, heading towards the kitchen. I looked back at Zion, giving him an unsure look.

"What?"

"You know why I'm looking at you." I said, him chuckling afterwards. He placed his phone down, the screen facing up as he leaned forward, elbows resting on the table top.

"What? I like what I like," He said, running a hand through his dirty blond hair. He looked at me, biting the corner of his lip before he spoke. "And to be honest, I like you."

My eyebrows raised, my eyes following suit as they widened at his remark. Before I could say anything, he cut me off, chuckling again.

"But I know that's not why you're here." He mumbled, a careless smile on his face as he picked up the dark suitcase that he had placed on the floor when he arrived. "You're here to help a friend out."

I closed my mouth as I tried to open it again, watching as he moved to click the case open before pulling out a few gray folders.

"Here." He said, gently handing me one of the folders. I stared at him for a moment longer before taking it, opening the folder to see familiar characters.

"Is this Russian?" I asked, reading over the bold words. I looked up at him when he exclaimed loudly, making me slightly jump in my seat.

"Yes! I was really praying you knew Russian, too." He said, pulling out three more folders.

"Well I'm not as fluent in it like I am in French but... I think I know enough." I said, giving him a hearty smile before looking down at the paper. My eyes widened and my smile disappeared as the sentence 'charged with twenty five counts of murder' caught my eye.

"Zion, what exactly am I supposed to be helping with here?" I asked, my brain going haywire as my eyes were trained on the number 'twenty five'.

"Huh? Oh, it's a simple case. The guys guilty, obviously." He stated, eyes following mine. "His lawyers bribed the judge's so I've got to get some hard evidence or proof he.. did what he did."

"And I'm supposed to help you with that how exactly?" I asked, setting down the open folder.

"Well, given that my presumption was correct, and you know Russian, you can read and help me find any information in his and his associates files." He stated, holding up a couple more files.

"Better get more coffee than, especially if we're going to do this in less than three hours." I said. He nodded clearing the table from anything that wasn't related to the case, with the exception of the coffees that is.
