I WAS OVERWHELMED, no doubt, due to everything that's happened to me and what's continuing to happen.

Prince called a meeting of the most powerful people on his payroll, even some leaders and their own men from other mafias.

I looked up from where I had been staring, taking in the various amount of people in this room.

It was filled with scary men and women with plain facial expressions and scars littering their faces.

As my eyes scanned the people who sat around the large table, I momentarily stopped on one person, shocked to see him here.

Vincenzo?

My lingering eyes on the perfectly aged man seemed to have caught his attention, his adverting from the man he was talking to, to mine.

Before I could quickly look down, he gave me a slight nod. The small acknowledgment made me furrow my brows.

I assumed he would be upset with me. I did, after all, ban his wife from the property.

I'm surprised I even have the authority to do that.

He looked away from me and back to the man he was speaking to.

"I'm killing her." Princes' voice said, silencing all the rest in the large room. A sigh could be heard from the opposite side of the room, everyone, including me, watching the man.

"You can't." Vincenzo countered.

"Watch me." He stated, confident in his words. I glanced at him, determination clear in his eyes as his hand balled into a fist.

"You can not kill her." Vincenzo stated once again, narrowing his eyes at his son.

"Why the hell not?" Prince questioned.

"Because you can't." He simply replied. This caused Prince to scoff, shaking his head as he mentally dismissed his father.

"Yet you can not give me a good enough reason?" He says, disinterested in the rest of the conversation.

"Because you already know why. It'll cause a war." He responded, hands bracing the table.

The room remained silent as the two men intensely watched each other, no one moving or daring to breath too loudly.

The tense situation caused me to advert my gaze to where I had previously been staring, at my hand where the large ring sat.

"Marry you? Really?" I say, looking down at the man before me. He nodded his head with a loving smile on his face.

"I would give you anything your heart desires now, but with a ring I can do it while calling you my wife." He responds.

A wife? Could I be a wife?

"Prince," I began. He looked up at me, slight worry in his eyes as he gulped.

"You don't have to answer now, you can take all the time you need," He started.

"Prince,"

"If you want, we do not have to label it, this is just a suggestion." He cuts me off again, lowering the ring.
