Without You

chapter 1

Blakes pov

*Beep* *Beep* I jolt awake 

"what time is it?" I mumble to myself 

ugh, it's 7:30 Monday morning I have to get up to go to class. This college thing sucks balls Hard I drag myself out of bed landing on my floor feeling the cold tile of my dorm under my feet. I glance over to my roommate Ellie fast asleep across the room how I wish I could be her right now. I grab my shower caddy and head towards the bathroom. I start a warm shower and get in letting the warmth wash over me. Soothing my hangover from last night it must have been fun judging how hard my head is pounding if only I could remember any of it. I get out of the shower stepping into the steamy bathroom wrapping myself in a towel. 

"What time is it?" a half-asleep Ellie asks me as I enter the room 

"7:50" I respond

She sits up in her bed "oh yeah you have that 9 am with Mr.McCall don't you" 

I zone out trying to remember what happened last night "Blake? Hello earth to Blake" 

"huh? Oh yeah I do it sucks he's such a hard ass" I say picking out my clothes for the day

 "leggings and a hoodie should be fine" I exclaim promptly picking them out of my drawers

 putting on the black legging and school hoodie I picked out with big letters on it saying "WILLOW BROOK UNIVERSITY'' the university I had attended for 2 years now and got into on a whim let's just say not my first choice but not my last. I finished getting ready, packing my bag, and spraying on my perfume vanilla rose the same one I've worn since sophomore year of high school. I finish my look off with my hangover sunglasses notorious in my friend group because everyone knows not to mess with me when I'm wearing them or else I might just snap their neck metaphorically of course. I head out the door finally at 8:30 to get breakfast before class 

"Hey princess!" I hear off in the distance and instantly know who it is

 There's only one person who ever calls me that 

"what do you want Haze?" I answer back seeing him appear right next to me 

"what's with the sass princess? Oh I see nevermind" he says 

"what's that supposed to mean?" I respond

 "Nothing, I just didn't see the glass from far away" he says

 "ugh" I roll my eyes at him

 "Anyways" he continues 

"you heading to breakfast?" 

"yeah, I need to get some carbs into me before class so I won't die" I jokingly say. 

He chuckles with me as we enter the cafe we stand in line together talking about last night

 "please tell me I did not do that" I say in a pleading tone hoping what Haze just told me wasn't true 

"Wish I could Princess but I can't unsee it you were tongue deep in Henderson's mouth Blake honestly it was disgusting" he reassures the painful truth of what I did last 

"Why didn't any of you guys stop me?" I almost yelled at him in the cafe 

"We all tried you wouldn't let go. It wasn't till Ash sorry Ashton stepped in and" he stopped mid-sentence so we could order 

"iced caramel macchiato and 2 large muffins please" I order as

 I reach for my wallet a hand stops me I look up to see Ashton towering over me handing his card to the cashier I rip my wrist from his hand and glared at him

 "somebodys in a mood" he says 

"you know I can pay for myself I'm not broke" I say with a hint of sass in my tone 

"god you know most girls would be grateful to have their breakfast paid for let alone paid for by 2-time motocross world champ and not to mention the hottest guy on campus" he says returning the sass in his tone

 "well you know I'm not like most girls Ashton" I say

 "that you are not Blake" he says smirking at me I roll my eyes and walk away from him to a booth to wait for my food He follows suit not far behind me 

"you'll never be able to escape me Blake" he says as he sits down across from me

 Sadly he was right id known Ashton since we were 6 when his family moved in across the street we were the same age but he mostly hung out with my twin brother Josh but I'd tag along once in a while but nevertheless, he was always around. It didn't help that our moms became best friends too so he always attended holiday celebrations and every single birthday party.  

"thank god you're finally here so I don't have to be alone with him any longer" I say as Haze approaches the table making Haze laugh 

"you know you love me" Ashton says smirking at me 

"whatever lets you sleep at night Ashton'' I rebuttal.

I grab my coffee and muffins and leave the cafe and Ashton 

"hey aren't you forgetting something?" He yells at me as I walk away

 I look around "Nope" I yell back looking up to see Ashton with his arms wide open like he's waiting for me to hug him 

"in your dreams Ashton'' I say he says something as I head out but I couldn't hear what it was. I suffered through my 3 classes for the day and made my way back to my dorm. Ellie had left for her classes so it was just me in the room I walked over to my warm bed crawled in and crashed.
