~~A few days later~~

I wake up to music looking around I see Haze and Ellie are getting ready

"Morning sleepyhead" Ellie says

I grunt and sit up "you guys know the dance isnt till six" I take a glimpse at my phone "it's noon"

"yes it takes that long to look good" Haze says

I sarcastically say back "god that must suck it takes me max an hour" laughing I see him roll his eyes through the mirror

I get out of bed and put on my shoes "I'm gonna go get coffee what do you guys want" "green tea" "mocha latte" "okay I'll be back in a bit" I say closing the door behind me.

leaving the building I feel the sun's rays hit my face a warmth I don't think I've felt or noticed in a while today I feel lighter like the weight of hurt and the world's eyes are not on me. I make my way to the cafe standing in line I feel an uneasiness fall on me I look around thinking it was Ashton's presence but instead my eyes land on a group of girls in a booth whispering laughing and looking at me I try and brush it off but I cant the feeling of their stares stained me with anxieties I order the drinks and as I wait I can't handle it anymore

"do we have a problem" I confront them causing them to coward back slouching in their seats until one girl speaks out

"We were just wondering why Ashton would pick someone like you" she says looking me up and down

"what's that supposed to mean"

"Just that he's him and your a well nobody" she says looking over my shoulder mentioning Ashton then back to me

"Maybe it was because she has substance something you're clearly lacking" I freeze speechless by the familiar voice lurking over my shoulder I turn looking into the eyes of the man who just defend me MY man saying nothing Ashton leans down and kisses me on the lips right in front of these girls like he hit the play button I could move to grab my drinks I rushing out of there without speaking a word to him

"Blake wait" I hear yelled from behind me I don't say a thing and continue walking to my dorm he catches up to me though

"I'm sorry about what happened in there"

"your sorry that you kissed me wow that's a first" I say

"I a I" my comment has rendered him speechless also a first

"you didn't have to do that why did you do that" I say

"I did it because I wanted to" he pauses as if he wants that to be the end but he continues "show those girls make them jealous"

"why would they be jealous like they said I'm a nobody" Ashton then gets in front of me and stops causing me to do the same

"look at me Blake" he says in all seriousness

"I am"

"in my eyes" I reluctantly move my eyes from his torso to his piercing baby blues I hear him exhale "you are not a nobody"

"maybe to you but" he cuts me off

"Blake people in California know who you are big big executives in major companies know who you are so no as much as you may want to be a nobody you Blake Marie Stone are a somebody" I speechless take a step closer to Ashton still holding eye contact I raise myself up kissing him on the lips leaning into it he places his hand on the back of my head holding me in the embrace making sure I can't pull away until he's ready I lower down and he lets me go I don't say anything and start walking away

"I'll see you later" he says from behind me I smile silently to myself continuing to walk.

when I make it back to the dorm I give Haze and Ellie their drinks "what's got you smiling"

"nothing"

"she kissed Ashton" Haze says

"what how did you know"

"look for yourself" he says handing me his phone

"are you okay?" Ellie asks me

"no? I don't know what we are honestly"

"guys that's the first interaction we've had since he ambushed me i still feel like a idiot i don't know how to talk to him"
