Chapter 45

~~very earlier the next day~~

I wake up from my dream sweating I get up and realize Trevs still not there they must've gone out I change my clothes put on a pair of shoes grab my smokes and head outside as I sit there taking drags of my cigarette I watch the people pass probably drunk and headed back from the bars or some party as person after person walks past I drift into mindless thought being brought back to when I hear my name 

"Ash?" I hear in the distance making me throw my cig down and put it out. I look in the direction my name came from looking for who said it 

"Haze?" I say back the person then starts running towards me I stand up trying to be cautious of the running figure Haze then slams his body into mine for a hug 

"I knew that was you what are you doing out so late" 

"your drunk and I just woke up" I say 

"you smell like smoke" he says looking towards the ground and gasping "Ashton Victoria" 

"that's not my middle name" I interrupt but he continues 

"Baylor you're not supposed to smoke" he scolds me 

"it's a coping mechanism because your girl broke my heart" 

"oh yeah I'm sorry about that but if it makes you feel better" he says getting real close to my ear then whispers "you broke hers too" 

his words shocked me a little I knew it hurt her seeing that but I didn't know it broke her heart I mean she would probably never admit it but I know that's not the first time she's seen something like that 

"come on let's get you home" 

"But you don't know where my home is" 

"well, I'm taking you to Blakes" I walk Haze to Blake's place and knock on the door as I wait I brace myself to see her and possibly be yelled at as the door opens I'm greeted by Ellie 

"there you are" she says taking Haze in I follow behind them hoping to at least catch a glimpse of Blake 

"I found him running around campus" I say to Ellie as I turn to Blakes bed staring at Blake lying peacefully fast asleep 

"she's been like that since she got home" 

"did she say anything" I ask 

"not much just that she was out at a party and that she was heartbroken and felt like she was made a fool of" I turn to Ellie 

"I wanna fix this please help me fix this" I beg her 

"Ash I don't know if you can" 

"please last week I was planning our first date and this week im begging for her back" 

"it's up to her" 

"Ellie she won't talk to me but she'll talk to you" 

"I'll help you" Haze says sitting up on the bed "I liked how she was with you and I liked how you were with her so I'll help you" 

"really? Your drunk you won't remember this" 

"I'm sober enough for love yes we all heard you" he says making me laugh "in the morning I'll get her out well go for lunch or whatever I'll text you so you know where we are you come there and try to talk to her explain yourself mister" 

"do you think that'll work" I ask Ellie 

"worth a shot" she says I nod my head in agreement 

"I'll see you guys tomorrow then" I turn around and kiss Blake on the cheek I whisper in her ear "I love you baby" then leave a little more confident and a little more worried than when I came

as I walk back to my place I find the boys "hey there mister sleepy head" Bret says 

"Hey guys" 

"what are you doing out" Trev asks 

"I woke up and decided to uh go outside" I say giving Trevor a look of don't mention anything 

"Okay well let's go out then" Cole says 

"Naw I think im just gonna go back to the dorm" 

"really bro okay well we'll see you tomorrow then" Trevor says not pushing the subject and letting me go then walking off in a separate direction
