Chapter 70

Ashton pov

I woke up before blake but couldn't move because I didn't want to wake her and she was laying on my arm so I laid there staring up at the ceiling thinking like always my mind wondering I must have really tired her out last night I mean I did my best to I just still can't believe that happened I know it was bound to but I would've never imagined that I loved it I love her and she loves me my mind trails off onto the days' festivities the conference my dread of public speaking and my worry if anyone's gonna ask about Blake ask about us what would she say what do I want her to say? I pick up my phone and check it's noon we should probably get up I start to gently wake blake 

 "baby it's time to wake up" I hear her quietly groan "come on we have to get up and get ready" 

"no" she says groggily 

"yes" I say leaning down kissing her forehead "we have to baby" I say again kissing her cheek 

"you get up by yourself" she says to me 

"Are you really gonna make me go all by myself?" I ask her kissing her lips, making her eyes open 

"go where?" she asks me 

"to the conference my love" 

she shoots up "shit that's today" she says 

"yes but it's not until 3" I tell her 

"oh good" she says falling back down on the bed and closing her eyes 

I get out of bed and go over to her side "nope get up" I say looking down at her 

"your gonna have to carry me out of this bed if you want me to get up" she says to me 

"fine" I say scooping her up bridal style making her sequel a little and walking out of the room I place her down on the kitchen counter and go to make breakfast 

"Ashton" I hear her say I turn to her "you want me to tell you a secret" she asks me 

"yes" I say intrigued I walk back over to her she looks me in my eyes and says 

"I don't think I can feel my legs" with a smile I laugh with shock she laughs with me I go back over and continue to make us breakfast with the food the hotel supplied us when I finish I set the food on the dining table for us to eat together I sit down and call her over "come eat baby" I say noticing she hasn't moved from where I placed her earlier she deadpans me 

"Ashton I'm serious I don't know if I can walk" she says I look at her in disbelief she hops off the counter ready to prove me wrong and sure enough her legs are wobbly like they could give out on her at any moment as she walks across the kitchen into the dining room sitting down across from me looking at me like I told you so. We eat breakfast and then get ready for the day the dress is business so I put on my suit as Blake gets ready in whatever she has picked out as I put on my clone and play with my hair she walks out of the bathroom in a bright pink blazer dress and nude heels hair done in second-day curls looking as beautiful as ever "whoa baby" 

"too much?" she asks anxiously 

"no-no just enough" I say taking her by the waist as she looks into the mirror tugging at different ends of the outfits I just stare down at her zoning out staring into the mirror 

"hello Ashton?" 

"huh" 

"eyes up here" she says "could you help me put this on" she hands me her necklace she pulls her hair to the side as I place it around her neck looking down at it I fight my urges to mark her as mine I clasp the necklace and snap back to reality fully completely 

"Are you sure your gonna be able to walk in those?" I ask her as she walks out of the room 

"I'll be fine Ashton I can feel my legs now" she says mumbling "no thanks to you" under her breath but I hear her 

"huh?" I say 

"huh?" She responds I smile at her. She grabs her purse and we walk to the elevator.
