Chapter 39

~~8:45 pm same day~~

"So where is this anyway" Haze turns and asks me

"um good question" Ellie says looking at me as well

"I'll text Ashton" I reach for my phone opening my contact for Ashton smiling at the screen seeing the heart I added next to his name god I'm cheesy but I don't even care that much that's how he makes me feel

"hey I forgot to ask you earlier but where is this party at?" I text him not even 2 seconds later I get a response

"so you're actually coming?"

"Yes sir now where is it I'm dying to be with you"

"don't tempt me baby"

"I'll try my best" I say

"it's at the Omega Nu" he answers

"is that Ash whose text you're smiling at?" Haze tries to pry

"yes it is in fact" I tell him

"oh what did he say"

"that the parties at Omega Nu"

"Blake" Haze says giving me a plain face as if telling me to tell him all of everything I look back telling him to shut it with my eyes then proceeded to finish my makeup just a simple neutral look nothing too much I then make my way to my closet looking through everything when I feel a hand on my shoulder

"I know" is all Haze says reaching into my closet picking out a nice fitting blue dress with lace overlay and silver heels "this" he says handing me the items.

"Are you guys ready to go?" I ask as I leave the bathroom completely ready

"yep" they both say standing and heading out the door. As we all enter the party I receive a text from Ashton

"you're doing a shit job of not tempting me babygirl" he says I look around catching his baby blues on the dance floor texting back

"maybe that was the plan all along" looking up to him again I see a smile appear on his face as he reads my text as he starts making his way over to me I do the same meeting him halfway

"there's my star" I say

"I don't think I'm the star tonight baby"

"what do you mean everyone's staring at you" I say looking around to all the prying eyes looking back at me

"no baby they're looking at you" I look back to the room again now taking notice that everyone was staring in our direction but shifting their eyes to me not towards him

"come on baby let's dance" Ashton says taking my hand leading me to the dance floor we dance for a while grinding on each other to faster songs and taking it back to middle school with the slower ones Ashton made me feel as if there was no one there as if it were just me and him in the whole world tonight

"I'm gonna be right back darling" Ashton kisses me on the cheek before walking away when he's out of my view the real world returned as girls started to come up to me who took notice of us dancing

"I knew it was you skank"

"liar"

"I bet he's good in bed isn't he"

"bitch" they said as they brushed by me killing my mood as someone else came by me I prepared myself for the worst

"hey I noticed you needed help come with me" a guy said leading me off the dance floor to the kitchen

"where are you taking me" I asked this dude holding me by the arm

"to Ashton" he responded as we turned the corner into the kitchen I see what I'm guessing he wanted me to see Ashton kissing a girl who was most definitely not me I feel the tears starting to well up in my eyes

"fuck you Ashton Baylor" I yell causing him to pull away from the girl in time for me to run out of the kitchen I hear his loud footsteps rushing after me but I can't face him right now the tears starting to pour down my face as what I just saw replays in my mind I make it to the sidewalk before I completely breakdown enough for him to catch me grabbing my arm

"do not touch me" I snarl at him he lets go scanning over my face

"Blake that's not what it looked like"

"so that wasn't you kissing some other girl"

"yes no but"

"no buts Ashton this is why I didn't want to tell anyone about this" I say gesturing to the both of us then taking notice of a crowd that has gathered on the porch of the frat house to watch this blow up "you had me convinced that what I thought I felt for you was real but haha I guess jokes on me because you Ashton Kendrick Baylor are nothing more than a playboy"

"Blake that wasn't what it looked like because I didn't kiss her she forced herself onto me"

"I'm sure that what you tell all the girls" I say

"no that's what im telling you because it's the truth this us you are more than just another girl this is what I waited my whole life for. for you"

"I don't want to hear it right now Ashton go lie to someone else who will believe you" I force myself to make eye contact with him through my tears to see that he has tears welling up in his own eyes

"goddammit Blake can't you see that I LOVE YOU and would never fucking hurt you" his words leave me speechless I can't even fight back I just look into his eyes looking for a lie anywhere in those words but I can't seem to find one "I love you Blake" he says again this time in a softer tone feeling the tears start to burn my eyes again and having nothing left to say I turn and run away leaving him behind me
