tony looked at the arc reactor in his hands.
it was nothing special. he'd created the original one in a cave with a box of scraps. scraps of the weapons he made. to protect the country, and they did. at least until they fell into the wrong hands. those were the same weapons that destroyed families, homes, and the earth.
he was all alone in there.
this one, he made in his lab, all types of metals and equipment ready for him. he had his daughter next to him, he had pepper helping him. he wasn't alone anymore. but still, no one else in the world was close to reaching this kind of technology. tony was a genius.
but there were some problems even geniuses couldn't fix.
tony could smell the faint smoke of his previous palladium core. he'd burnt through it, again. at the rate that he was going through these cores he wasn't sure if the toxins would get to him first, or the lack of palladium cores. he was leaning towards the latter.
