over the next few days, people began avoiding percy like the plague.
i kept hanging out with him because i knew how it felt having a powerful father.
i spent more time practicing swordfighting. i trained with my powers, making them stronger. if i made a big enough ball of pink light, i could engulf something inside of it, making it disappear. my powers didn't weaken me significantly, and the blindness i caused the apollo campers eventually wore off.
i iris-messaged my father one day because i haven't talked to him in a long time. even though demigods shouldn't use technology, i still carried a phone around. it was usually switched off, and only used in emergencies. my dad had added this chip inside it, and every other piece of technology he made, which made it safe for demigod use. i still didn't risk it inside camp. also, i preferred iris-messaging my dad.
he was in the lab.
"hey, dad."
he looked up from his project and smiled at me, "hey, minnie," he said referring to my obsession of minnie mouse when i was four. "what's up?"
"nothing much, just... you know the pact that the big three made not to have kids and all?" i asked him.
"hmm," he hummed in response.
"yeah well, posiedon has a kid," i told him.
"wait, seriously. didn't zeus have a kid a couple years ago too?" he asked me.
i nodded, "yup. her name was thalia. poseiodon's kid's name is percy."
he nodded.
"oh and by the way, mom gave me a new power," i told him.
" oh, really?" he looked interested now.
instead of answering, i held up my palm, and created a tiny bubble of pink energy, the size of a golf ball.
"that's so cool. you find out what you can do with it yet?" he scooted closer.
"well, i'm still learning. but, i can shoot these out as beams of energy. i can cause temporary blindness with them. i can also shoot concentrated beams from my fingertips. umm... i can wrap this around an object, causing it to disappear. oh and mom said eventually, i could also go invisible. she also said the possibilities were endless." i recounted what i could do.
