"what was she thinking?" annabeth yelled as we ran for the car.

my dad was going to fly in front of us in the iron man suit, clearing the way. i jumped over the door, and into the driver's seat. percy sat in the passenger seat. annabeth, nico, ethan, and aurora climbed over to the back.

"too many people!" nico protested.

"you don't count," ethan said, "you're like half a person."

"and too bad," aurora yelled. "i wanna know what happens!"

"oh my gods!" annabeth yelled. "just get in!"

the four of them tried their best to fit. in the end, aurora was forced to sit basically on ethan's lap. it was funny.

"buckle up!" i called to them as i heard the thrusters of my dad's suit firing up.

a whoosh sounded from above us and i looked ahead to see my dad clearing the way for us. i twisted the key and the engine started.

a smirk rested on my face as the sound of the engine made it's way to my ears. once i was sure my dad had cleared enough of the way, i slammed my foot on the gas pedal and we took off.

"woah!" percy clutched the door as we went.

the ride was a blur.

my dad cleared a lane for us, moving cars and people out of the way. the hour and half journey was completed in less than one. we scrambled out of the car and towards half-blood hill.

we found argus crossing his arms, waiting for us.

"is she here?"

he nodded.
