draco burst into the aphrodite cabin.

i looked up from the design blueprints of stark tower and raised an eyebrow at his sudden entrance.

"what's wrong, draco?" i asked the platinum-blonde.

he pursed his lips, "i.. uh... i was wondering if you could come with me to diagon alley? my mom can't make it, and she insisted i bring an older camper with me. i was going to force vera, but she's on a date with tracy and i didn't want to bother her."

"of course," i told him. "let me put my stuff away and we can go."

draco stood near the edge of the forest, an old tin can in his hands.

"why do you have a tin can in your hands?" i asked him. "oh gods, is it a wand-waver thing?"

draco rolled his eyes, "it's a portkey. it's like... teleportation. but you have to be careful because you might get really dizzy."

"i will never understand you wand-wavers," i muttered, placing a hand on the tin-can.

it took a few seconds, but i felt this pull in my navel, and my whole body felt as if it'd been liquified. after what felt like years (but was probably less than a minute) of spinning around, we landed on the ground, in an alley.

i got up, clutching my hip and muttering curses directed to draco and portkeys.

diagon alley was where wand-wavers did most of their shopping, especially for back-to-school. draco needed a bunch of books, some new robes, and a new wand (vera sat on his other one).

he could go with his school friends, but his mom insisted an older demigod accompany him. she felt safer, and draco didn't want to worry her, especially with a huge war coming up.

"wait," draco stopped me, before i could enter the alley.

"hmm?"

"we have muggleborns in here, and they will understand your references. i don't want to hear a single pop-culture reference out of you for the rest of this trip," draco said sternly. "and some of them will recognize you as iron man's daughter. we're changing your name to... cassiopeia bridges. first name is after a constellation, family name is pureblood. you'll fit right in."
