day after camp half-blood summer-session ending
"c'mon!" i whined.
"eh, i don't know."
"percy!" i scolded. "annabeth, grover, and thalia, everyone's coming. you have to come too!"
he pursed his lips, "but malibu, that-"
"percy," a knock sounded in the background.
his door opened and his mom poked her head in. i jumped up in excitement as an idea popped into my brain.
"hi ms. jackson!" i waved.
she looked around and her eyes settled on my image in the rainbow. she smiled brightly at me. "hello, riley," she waved.
"can i ask you for a favor?" i asked her.
"of course, sweetheart."
percy groaned in the background and plopped onto his bed.
"percy!" his mom chastised. percy sat up and leaned against the headrest. his mom turned back to me, "what do you need honey?"
i smiled at how cool percy's mom was.
"i need you to convince percy to come to malibu. you remember the beach day grover wanted?" she nodded in assurance. "yeah, well percy's not agreeing to come with us. and then, everyone's not going to be there, and everyone has to be there!"
