i gave myself a one-over in the full length mirror before leaving the aphrodite cabin.

i was wearing a simple outfit; camp half-blood t-shirt, jean shorts, and flipflops.  i pulled my hair into a high ponytail and let some hairs frame my face. i pulled a white bandanna over my hair. i had my camp half-blood necklace with four beads, one for each summer. i also had my dad's brass rat around it.  he gives it to me in the summer.

"gods, lise," my sister silena began, using part of my middle name as a nickname, "how long does it take you to get ready? we're going to miss the sunset."

i rolled my eyes and glared at her playfully, "i am ready. let's go."

silena linked her arm in mine before leading me to the docks.

silena beauregard, my older sister, and counselor of the aphrodite cabin.

she was about one-and-a-half-year older than me.  she wanted me to be head counselor, since i'd been at camp longest, but i declined.  silena doesn't care. she still drags me, and makes me lead the cabin to dinner.  she also brings me to head counselor meetings.  but officially, she's in charge.

i'd been at camp for four years, one less than annabeth chase, and luke castellan.  that was the main reason people wanted me to lead.  i don't care. i already have a lot of attention in the world, being a stark and all.  i didn't need more at camp.

that's the reason only a few of my friends know my full name. i would tell the stolls, but i'd rather not be on the receiving end of their heists. the only people who know are; my aphrodite siblings, annabeth, luke, grover the satyr, clarisse la rue, chiron, and mr. d.

i only told clarisse because i knew she wouldn't care, and treat me the same way.  she actually helped me tell my siblings.  i wouldn't say i'm the war daughter's bestie, but we're sorta-friends.  if you talk to her, she's not as bad as she seems.
