we sat around a table.

everyone except my dad was here, which wasn't really a surprise, i just wanted to mention it.

i sat next to nat, my legs up on a table as i tried to catch m&ms into my mouth. on the center of the table, there was a screen. it showed loki in a circular glass cage that was being held up by hydraulic lifts.

i watched as patchy the pirate (he and ethan would be great friends) walked up to some sort of control panel. i assumed it would be a trap in case loki tries to escape.

i was right.

"in case it's unclear," patchy started, "you try to escape. you so much as scratch that glass..."

he pressed a button which opened up a hatch of some sorts under loki's cell. loki peered over as much he could.

as someone who has basophobia, this shit was pretty fucking terrifying. the sounds of gusting wind through the screen made me lean backwards. i had no idea how loki remained unfazed.

"thirty thousand feet, straight down in a steel trap," fury told him, over the sound of the gusting wind. "you get how that works?!"

he closed the hatch, and pointed at loki, "ant," then he pointed at the button that would drop loki in case he tried to escape, "boot."

i smirked a little as i understood what fury was referring to.

loki stepped forward and smirked, "it's an impressive cage. not built, i think, for me."

i leaned forward slightly and tilted my head as i studied the god of mischief. i knew exactly what, well who, he was referring to.

"built for something a lot stronger than you," fury retaliated.

"oh, i've heard," loki looked right into the camera, as if he knew we were watching. he probably did. "the mindless beast, makes play he's still a man. how desperate are you, that you call upon such lost creatures to defend you?"

i bit the inside of my cheek as i watched the interaction play out.

"how desperate am i?" fury repeated. "you threaten my world with war. you steal a force you can't hope to control. you talk about peace and you kill 'cause it's fun. you have made me very desperate. you might not be glad that you did."
