in my dream, i stood on a balcony.

i was older, i felt older. i couldn't control what was happening, but it didn't feel wrong. i was wearing pajamas — a batman t-shirt, and fuzzy pants with... a flying hammer print(?)

two arms slipped around my waist from behind, and older me relaxed into the familiar set of arms. younger me was fucking confused, but older me felt at home.

"thinking about them still?" percy asked.

his voice was husky with sleep, giving me the impression that he just woke up.

now, present me was even more confused. why was he here? why was i standing in his balcony? or was he sleeping in my room?

"how do you always know?" older me asked, humming slightly.

percy's chin settled on my shoulder and he pecked the side of my head, "because i know you, tink. i thought we settled that."

"i wonder what they're doing," older me muttered before sighing. "i miss them. i miss all of them. i just want to talk them, one time. i lost steve and buck once, i can't lose them again."

once again, present me was fucking confused. steve? buck? like the visions? and what about rebecca?

"hey," percy turned me around to face him. he cupped my face. "they're gonna be okay. you know that. give them some credit."

older me smiled, and pecked percy's lips (okay, now i was screaming. literally screaming.)

"i love you."

"i love you too."

and i think present me just died.

my dream faded away, and something else came into view. i couldn't see clearly, but i could hear voices.
