i arrived outside of percy's apartment building in the stark 11.

i pulled my sunglasses up on my head, sent percy a quick text telling him i arrived, then began playing call of duty on my phone. we were going to light up stark towers tomorrow night, and percy and i were gonna go on a date today.

my dad still didn't know percy and i were dating, but only because i never got to it. pepper and natasha knew. they made it my sole duty to bother the crap out of me (it'd only been a day since nat found out). percy's mom knew, because she saw us kiss when i dropped percy off to his building.

there were a group of teenage boys who were slapping each other's chests and pointing at my car. i shielded my face from their cameras as they brought out their phones.

a minute later, percy barreled through the front door of his building and rushed into the car.

"step on it," he said urgently.

"what do you mean step on it?" i repeated, indignantly. "i will not just step on it because you told me to. can't a girl get a 'hello' or even a 'you look gorgeous' from her boyfriend? but, no! you tell me to step on it—"

"hello," percy said, eyes still wide, "you look beautiful, lovely, stunning, absolutely breathtaking tink. did someone turn the oven on, or is that just you? now, step. on. it."

"jeez louise," i muttered, turning the car on. "i kind of wanted to say hello to your mom first."

"no!" percy said suddenly, "she's the reason we need to hurry."

"what do you mean?"

percy put his face in his hands, "she had a whole album full of baby pictures out to show you."

"awww, i wanna see baby percy."

percy gave me a sideways glance, "well then, maybe i'll meet up with your dad, and we can do the same with you."

"if you told him we're dating, he'll kill you first, interrogate you later."

"he'll get over it," percy waved me off. "we both know that. but once he does, imagine how much fun we'll have sharing stories about your embarrassing moments. and you have a lot, almost as much as me."
