the party did not get started.

first of all, nat and clint had to hide me on the quinjet. i was squished between two seats and basically had to pray that steve wouldn't find me. thank gods dad decided to fly there in his suit instead. i was sure he'd find me in an instant.

as we reached closer to stark towers (which, apparently, is where loki is going to be to call his alien army), i felt a tingle in my spine. one that kept growing as we reached closer. it took me a few minutes, but i recognized it as energy in the air.

pure energy.

the same thing as my power.

loki's plan was working.

"okay, i know we're all trying to save everyone, but clint, you gotta fly faster," i said, stepping out of my hiding spot. "loki's opened his portal, i can feel it's energy from here."

"wh — where — why — does your brother know you're here?" cap sputtered.

i furrowed my brows, "um... if you're talking about theo, or one of my other half-siblings, i don't think they know."

cap cleared his throat, "i meant to ask about tony. does he know?"

"um.... not — um, no," i stuttered. "he doesn't know. but it's not like i can't protect myself. i've done more dangerous things, and you can't talk me out of doing this."

cap pursed his lips but merely turned his head towards clint, "faster."

we arrived to chaos.
