In the Flying Dutchman
Clanker was the only pirate of Jones to return to the ship, after having captured Ruby. The others were still searching for the chest that contained Davy Jones's heart. The captain was leaning over the railing when Clanker soon approached from behind him, holding Ruby as a prisoner.

Clanker: Em... Captain?
Davy Jones: (Without turning around) What are you doing here?  Why aren't you with the others looking for the chest?
Clanker: I brought you something else that might also interest you.
Davy Jones: (Turns around and sees Ruby) You!
Ruby: (In a mocking tone) Me!
Davy Jones: What brings you here?
Ruby: I don't know. You have to tell me that. One of your mollusks captured me and brought me here. Although I think you already realized that.
Clanker: (To Davy Jones) I thought you would want the Heart of Fire to get more power. And this is the girl who owns it.
Davy Jones: Of course I do, but now I need my heart to fuse it with the one of fire and thus obtain the power.
Clanker: So I was right to bring you the girl?
Davy Jones: You did well, but like I said, now I need the other heart. Come back with the others to fight for my heart!
Clanker: Aye captain. (Goes back to the isle)
Ruby: (To Davy Jones) And what about the four days you promised?
Davy Jones: I got bored of waiting. Also, there are less than twenty-four hours to go. I don't think it matters too much. (Draws his sword and rests the point on Ruby's neck) Calm down. It is not a penknife, much less a silver one. We both know that you will be still alive.
Ruby: (Generates fire in her hair)
Davy Jones: You gain nothing by threatening me with your fire. You know you won't hurt me.
Ruby: I won't let you. I'm not giving up my power now.
Davy Jones: (Makes more pressure with the sword) Get on your knees if you don't want me to use this against you!

Davy Jones took a silver-colored penknife from his pocket, and Ruby, frightened, had no choice but to kneel as Davy Jones had commanded. It was there when he pressed his sword more until he removed from it from Ruby's chest, nailed to the tip of the sword, a heart of an intense red color that not only pumped blood, but also fire.
